I like that it raises the back of my laptop up at just the right height. And there are no metal pieces that are below your palms, like with so many other stands. It does weaken and won't stay up after say five years of use, but I was more than happy to buy another one after searching forever to see that there aren't any others as good as this one. Read more

I bought this, not realizing it was an adhesive stand (you stick it to the bottom of your laptop, then never take it off). I also didn't know how much I would use a stand (this being my first). After several months, I can assuredly say that I use it every day to the point of if it's on a surface (like a table or desk), it feels weird to use my laptop without it being propped up. Flattened, it make no difference to your laptop's size/footprint. Any case or bag you used before, you can still use. When they say "Invisible", they mean it as literally as it can be. It isn't thick at all. In fact, the rubber feet on my laptop stick out further than it. There's a pair of small (weak) magnets to hold the stand in place when it's flattened. They work about as well as you might expect some small, weak magnets to work through two layers of material. Enough to notice them, but not enough to keep it flat and never fall. That being said, without them, it would definitely just flop around. At least the magnets have a little strength to keep it from always free-flopping. Materials and build feel good quality. I expect it to last several years. Likely it could last as long as my laptop. It has two sides. Slick and a little shiny on the outside (what you feel when it's flat), and enough grip on the inside (that part that sits on the table when propped up). The grip isn't amazing, but it's enough to keep your laptop from moving during regular use. Do note, that it is an adhesive you stick to the bottom of your laptop. It is not designed for laptops with vents on the bottom. It will cover them up. That being said, there are some medium sized holes in the adhesive part that would let a little air through, but not enough to keep a laptop cool. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this for everyone, but if you're looking for something like this and your laptop doesn't have bottom vents, I would definitely recommend. I use my MacBook stands constantly, like I am almost never using it flat on the table, so to have it stuck solidly to the MacBook ready to use anywhere and always stable is a huge benefit. I would have thought twice had I realized it was stick on but now that I have it -- I love it. This thing is so great. So much better than toting around even a thin separate stand. Read more
