These are beautiful! I love the fire in moissanite. To me these are far better than a diamond. I have not ever been a fan of the diamond industry, but when I was very young I bought a few for my wife. Since then I have always looked for a better stone like black opal or sapphires. The biggest thing to me is just knowing that these stones are not natural and have not forced anyone to have to mine. They are superior in fire and look amazing. They aren't a diamond and aren't trying to be. They might become scratched over time, but I don't know how because people with Tungsten rings don't have problems with scratches and they are way softer than a moissanite. The setting looks good and they come in great packaging. The price is excellent for how pretty they are. Honestly I have no complaints. Since I don't really support the diamond industry I didn't have a lot to compare these to, but I took a picture next to a pendant I got in 2006 for comparison to natural diamonds and I believe the total weight is similar as well. These earrings are beautifully made and look so much better than most. The posts are sterling silver and notched and the backs are very small, just right for the posts and they won’t slip off. The earring sit upright and don’t hang or droop at all. They’re comfortable and don’t stab me when I sleep. I do feel that they came with an excessive amount of packaging and decorative materials. There is a really cute Tiffany blue velvet lined ring box included. Why? Certificate of authenticity materials that show the grade of the moissanite, that was interesting but then one big box to hold the small boxes, meanwhile the earrings were individually packaged in tiny zipper bags, if the point was to make the earrings feel more valuable then more relevant items should have been included rather than stuffers. They are very good quality, and come with certificates of authentication attesting to that, along with if you want to register your jewelry, I guess. The earrings arrive in a smallish blue cardboard box, but inside the earrings were in individual plastic envelopes. However, there is a nice jewelry box inside as well if you plan to gift these -- just make sure you put the earrings in the jewelry box before doing so. They are extremely sparkly and well-made. I don't have particularly sensitive ears but I haven't experienced any sensitivity while wearing these. The 1/2 caret are perfect for everyday wear. As far as value, prices on moissanite for this same caret and type of earring vary pretty widely, and these are on the higher side. I think you're paying a bit extra for the pretty box and certifications, if that's important to you. Read more
