I’ve been putting on Urea Cream and these every night and I wake up to soft heels! It’s a miracle! Both products together would make the start of a great care package along with epsom salt and the $10 foldable bath soaks (much better than electric ones because you can use salt and easily add more water to soak ankles too). I also appreciate that my toes are free in the summer and overall arch support. I’ve washed one by hand and I can easily see it lasting many washes. I'm a size 6.5 US, and I find these socks to fit just fine. Pros: 1. Fantastic gel seam transition The gel has a great fade from thick at the heel to thin at the edges of the gel, and the adhesive is so good that it never peels at the edge. 2. Economic For 1.70$ this is about as expensive as a regular pair of socks, despite being more effort to manufacture. 3. Most sock-like feel What else can I say, it does feel the most like a sock. If you are used to yoga socks, these are much like them. Cons: 1. The manufacturing method leaves small cuts on the surface of the gel in some areas, leaving cellulitis-like marks that are susceptible to tearing. Even if you are gentle, they will inevitably tear or perforate at these points allowing product to seep through. 2. One of the cuffs is not tacked down as much as the other. Probably because of the cast-on, cast-off method of the sock machine. It's not a big deal if you wear them to sleep or while sitting, but it is noticeable when you walk in them. These were perfect for what I needed them for. A few things to keep in mind: - some smell of lavender and some smell of roses. The smell does wash out after 2 or 3 washes. - they last ( years even the gel) washed in hot water after many washes. - the gel does get sticky after washing. A wee bit of powder will help if that bothers you. - they do get a little slippery if you use lotions or balms on your feet. Put your weight more of the front uncovered area of your foot to avoid the slippery feel. - great arch support for RLS sleep comfort. - the tops are breathable and perfect for summer or warm climates. - they are a nice snug fit for my wide size 7.5 feet. They may feel too small if you have wide feet at a larger size. I got these mainly to keep my foot Balm off the sheets and for arch support to help my RLS. The gel was not the main buying feature for me, but I like it. I use regular arch support ankle socks in the cooler weather, but those were way too warm for the summer. These keep my toe cool and are breathable. They work perfect for what I need them for. I woukd not wear them during the day though. They are a bit awkward to walk in. The boxes say they have "lavender essential oil". Of the 18 pairs I received 2 smelled of Lavender, 3 had no scent, and 13 smelled like Rose Oil. The scent washes out completely by the third wash. I've washed the first set of 6 many times in hot water since purchase. They have lasted well and the gel is still in great shape.
