I purchased this because I'm trying to find a more fiscally responsible solution of making my own pistachio iced latte rather than purchasing it seasonally at Starbucks, but it taste nothing like the pistachio sauce that Starbucks uses. Some reviews say that it taste similar, but I can promise you that it does not. It has a generic, nutty flavor, akin to marzipan. It is overly sweet for 1 oz pour, which is the recommended amount. I even tried 1/2 an oz and it was still too strong. Even the smell of it is quite strong. It mixes well with milk and coffee just fine. If you're looking for a true pistachio flavor, I would not recommend this syrup. It tastes too artificial; it could be because the ingredients do not list pistachio, only 'natural flavors'. The glass bottle it came in is a nice touch though, and I can appreciate the quality of the syrup, but it's just not for me. I'm giving it 4 stars because the quality of the product itself is good, shipping was fast, and the pricing is okay.
