I really like these. They are acrylic yarn, so warm. I am a Man who wears LG gloves and these work fine as they are knit and stretchy. I think they will last just fine for household use, and will tell you that even if you get cold fingers, the gloves make such a difference that your fingers will be warm too - at least indoors. I suggest when using them you use a different method to take them off. Don't pull on the fingers, this will likely frays the ends, instead just hook your other thumb in the palm and pull it off that way. For this price I will buy another two pairs for spares. I have Basil Thumb Arthritis (pain in the large thumb joint) and these warm and support that part of the hand, and leave your fingers free for typing, cell phone use, or things requiring touch. I bought these gloves to wear around the house because I suffer from cold intolerance, even during the summer months. Two pairs for $7.99 seems reasonable, and the quality is good.
