We really like these glasses. They are a marvelous replacement for our aging everyday glasses, which were in need of replacement. I like the glasses' design. The ribbed surface makes them easy to pick up and hold without being slippery. These ribs make the contents interesting to look at. The weight is just right, not too heavy, yet with enough heft to avoid feeling cheap and flimsy. The twelve-piece set is nice, enough for a medium-sized gathering. The highballs are a good size; our old glasses held a little more but were heavier. These glasses are stable, whereas our old glasses were a little top-heavy. The rocks glasses, surprisingly, hold a little more at 13 oz and are hard to tip over accidentally. They are dishwasher-safe and heat-resistant, so cleanup is easy. Absolutely lovely set of glasses! The ribbed texture of these is beautiful, but it also makes my hand happy. It's a bit of a personal weirdness, but I don't really enjoy the way flat glass feels in my hand, especially after many washes in the dishwasher. And when that kind of drinkware sweats, it can be off-putting to use. The texture of these allow the sweating to stay in the 'valleys' of the texture and not even touch your hand. Love that! These are also what I'd consider to be a perfect weight - not lightweight, but not so heavy that they are obtrusive. We got these glass to add to our cocktail cart. So far we have been very happy with this product. 1) They are very sturdy and thick. They definitely feel like they will hold up under repeated use, for many years to come. 2) They are a great size and the two different sizes offer a good variety of uses. I like to use large ice cubes with my drinks, and the shorter glasses are wide enough the fit the large ice cubes I prefer. 3) They look great as well. This set of glasses includes 6 11-ounce cocktail glasses plus 6 12-ounce highball glasses. They, of course, can be used to hold any beverage. They have a decent weight to them and since they are the classic diamond design, they have ridges that will assist in holding them. I like they way they look, and they were very well packaged when shipped. The listing indicates, and I agree, that they are made using thick glass. It also states they resist breakage and are dish washer safe. I intend to use these as general purpose glasses. The only issue I have is that if one looks straight down into a glass, it does not appear to be perfectly circular at the rim. I included a picture attempting to show the slight non-circularity, but it might not be detailed enough to make it clear. In any case, they are nice, heavy, and perfectly functional glasses. Read more
