So far, so good!
I've been using this for the past few days and it is comfortable. I have to remember NOT to move my wrists left and right or that will eventually lead to pain, but that is the same problem with ANY wrist supports that don't allow for the support to move with your arm yet support it. The bottoms have a slightly sticky rubber surface that helps keep them planted in place, which is nice because I'm not regularly bending over to pick them up! The material has a certain amount of give to it and the cloth - at least until it gets too grimy - allows my palms to move over it so that I don't damage my wrists. So far, it's been beneficial and certainly more pleasant than resting my wrists on the edge of my keyboard tray! I think the only thing I'm not satisfied with is that this is long enough for a compact keyboard, or a keyboard without a numeric keypad, so I have to scoot it over when I need to use the numpad. For that reason, I cannot remove the protective plastic off the rubber base so it's easy to slide to either end, which is okay because my keyboard tray has a rim. The other part is the keyboard stand, which is a piece of clear, shaped acrylic with a lip at the front to hold a keyboard and the back end raises itself up. This means that I can have my keyboard on it without using the legs. I find that the legs can be annoying and most keyboards don't offer varying heights. This stand seems to be just about perfectly angled when used with the wrist rest, so I'm actually very pleased because I didn't know there was a stand when I ordered it. "Bonus!" I think that the pads could've been narrower so that less space is used. I would've preferred a darker color of purple, but it's not going to make a difference to my ability to type. I'm definitely typing better than I have in a long time because of this comfortable pad! Read more
