Extremely easy to damage
When I opened these, I was fully prepared to give them a solid, positive review. The gel is thick and cool, feels so tactilely satisfying to run your fingers over, or feel pressed against your inner wrist. I began using these feeling happy and with good expectations. Then I had a cold can of V8 in my hand, which touched—touched, as in the side of the can pressed against the side of the gel pad, not that I used it as a coaster—the long gel pad. Maybe 30 seconds? Long enough for me to sit down, rest my can on the desk, against the pad, then turn to face my monitor and lift the can again. I rested my wrists on the pad in the start position to type…and about an inch and a half of the edge of the pad has been warped, with all cushioning gel having hardened and solidified to the firm silicone base. It’s unpleasant to touch, to rest my hand on, and no padding remains in that spot. So, initially, this mouse and wrist pad set is great: visually, tactilely and in action. It cushions well and feels good on the wrists. So, with that in mind, the price would be a good one…until you realize that you have to protect and baby your cushions as if they’re the most precious little sensitive creations under the sun. They are fragile and easily damaged. Too fragile, in my personal opinion. I’m now terrified by what would happen if the side of my hot tea mug were to ever touch one of these pads. Nice mouse and wrist support
I needed a new wrist support and decided to try this out. I like it. What I like about it is that it's comfortable. It is easy to clean and is not sticky. I also like that the gel is cool and does not get hot. I have a wireless mouse that works perfect with it also. Read more
