A great looking outdoor light with motion sensor. I got this light to replace a back porch light that the previous owners had painted over and generally I did not like. The process of installation was like any other light, and I was done in about 20 minutes. It looks good and a big improvement over what I had, and I appreciate the bolts being the correct length and the thumb-screws being oversized (to turn more easily). As a recommendation, you'll likely want a small S hook to hold the light to the bracket when wiring. I didn't have one so used a zip tie instead. The reason I knocked a star off is while this is a good-looking light, for the price I think you should get two. Otherwise, it's a big pricey for a single light. Initially the price seemed just a little toward the higher end, but after receiving the product it seems like much more of a bargain. It's a little heavy in that it's made with strong, solid materials and is put together well. It arrives fully assembled with even the light bulbs installed. It needs to be installed like any normal fixture but comes with all the parts and fit just fine on our traditional electrical box. The motion sensing works well, better than the fixture this replaced. With two bulbs, it throws out a lot of light. You can set if to stay on at night at any pre-adjusted brightness, have the motion sensor brighten it when someone walks near or have it off and then turn on when motion occurs. It's pretty simple yet effective. The nice thing is the bulbs are hidden so they don't glare too harshly, essentially producing filtered and indirect lighting. The light sensor turns it on at dusk and off at dawn. On one very dark cloudy day it came on and the extra light was helpful. It hasn't gone on when not needed. We are very pleased with the build quality, operation and simplicity of use. This is one of those products that we like more erery time we see it. Read more
