I just had new flooring put in and tho it is supposed to be able to withstand almost anything, I didn;t want to take a chance of my bike scratching the floor making noise because the bike was on a hard floor. I ordered this mat and am pleasantly surprised at everything about it. It lies flat. It is the perfect size (mine is 66 inches...I wanted a little extra at both ends and recommend this to you). It is light weight but sturdy. I think it is absorbing noise since I am not hearing any. It was a "cheap" mat for my weight bench. Less than half the cost of the one under my bike. I needed this specific size, which is harder to come by apparently. The mat arrived and it was dense/heavy (let's be honest the soft ones do not last). It has a good rough anti-slip texture that works for shoes or bare feet. Neatly rounded corners to avoid curling. Mat is easy to clean, I'm using it with my bike trainer and it has held up well. the mat sits flat and seems pretty durable, but time will tell if I was right. It's not overly expensive and a good choice to protect your floor an eliminate some noise. Read more

These mats are seriously heavy duty, yet also flexible. Got one to go under a water rower, and one to go under an exercise bike as I don’t want to be dripping sweat on carpet and stinking up the room. These seem extremely durable, and wipe down easily.
