Purchased this switch and works great! My cruise control on my 07 Explorer sport trac was acting up sometimes would not turn on at all and if it did turn on it would turn itself off. I first checked the fuse in the panel under the hood which was good. Then i replaced the cruise control shut off switch which did not solve the problem. I then ordered this switch, despite the photo this is the cruise control switch that is physically apart of the steering wheel, with the set, resume, and off switch. Being a Motorcraft part I wasn't surprised that the fit was perfect, however, installation is a bit tricky. You have to remove the airbag from the steering wheel as this switch has part of it under the pad. Be sure to disconnect the negative battery cable BEFORE messing with the airbag so as not to honk the horn or worse, set off the airbag accidentally. My Explorer registered a code PO579 while we were driving, the cruise shut off and a wrench appeared on the dash display. I replaced the switch and everything was back to normal. Read more

So, I had danced around the Cruise control not working for a while. It was activate, then shut off. I could set the speed but not advance it. Super frustrating. Ordered this, TWO 7mm bolts on the sides of the steering wheel to lift the horn/airbag unit out of the way. Pop old one out, disconnect, reconnect and bam. Done. Not even worth a video. SUPER simple.
