My company migrated to a new system which included tablet check-in/out function. We tried various methods, but none was a real solution. With this stand, we were able to find a permanent solution that also locks the tablet. There are 3 issues that had to be overcome. 1. height adjustment. Even though it claims to be a counter-top solution, I could not lower it enough to a comfortable height. I ended up cutting the vertical bar in half. I tapped the 4 screw mounting points and sanded off the edge. With the cutting, the height was perfect. 2. I wanted the power cable to be routed to the bottom of the stand. That causes the power button to be hidden even though there is a slot for that. So I sawed off a section of the case holder to expose the power button. 3. the lock is hard to use. The locking tab does not fully engage in locked position. It would be difficult to open that without a key so I decided to live with that. If anyone wanted to steal the tablet, they had to take the whole stand with it. Read more
The security key mechanism is inferior. It is flimsy and requires some tactical deftness to operate. It’s like a more calculated push, pull turn lift kind of action. Also the swivel stand has to be tightened every day. And the prevent your iPad from leaning the stand needs to be tightened from the inside of the pole. It’s a reasonable good purchase but those issues can be corrected with standard tools. Read more
This is a well constructed stand. I had a Lenovo tablet that needed a mount. Others that I ordered would not support this smaller tablet.....this stand had a great range for adjustment. The only downside is that the height is fixed. You could cut it down, but it's heavy-duty aluminum and you would need the right saw and possible taps for the mounting screws. Read more
This has been a decent sharing station for my photo booth events. Pros. It looks sophisticated, can adjust for floor or table (although a bit high on a table)- however the adjustable part is helpful when loading in and out of a vehicle. I like the charging cord space makes it look a bit cleaner if you have to charge, and does lock the ipad in place so people can't just pick up with ipad if you're busy. Cons. It's not that stable, people would enter their info and the station would do some swaying. The grip/mouth part to fit the ipad in was really sticky. I would have to press down the inside knob/nipple that would stick out in order to open the sides wider to fit the ipad. It's cracked my ipad case due to the stickiness. Overall was decent. I understand it's to mount onto the floor, but I don't believe mine came with any hardware for the floor. So I just dealt with the wobble from people entering their info to get their photos or videos. It takes an L key to adjust the height. When I'm running my photo booth events, or 360 Booth events, there are so many tools to keep track of, it would be nice if this had a different type of adjustments versus another tool to misplace. The key was not always easy to lock. Took some effort, and didn't really feel like it was in, but it was, I checked it every time. It stuck out more than I expected it too. Just recently the station fell while I was loading up my gear, and the face cracked opened, so now there's no chance of locking with the key. The adjustable height to tailor to which ever tablet or ipad you have, is not secure and slides easily up or down. It didn't crack the plastic and wasn't truly a hard hit, but it was enough to realize the equipment is cheap. I don't think this product is worth more than $100. I bought it when it was maybe $89.99 and I think pricewise & almost 2 years worth of work, it's paid for itself and has done a decent job securing my ipad. I don't see any other options for adjustable sharing stations, so I will buy this again. I wanted to give my honest review after owning it for nearly 2 years. Read more
We set these up with tablets at church. These stands are very portable yet heavy enough that they don’t tilt. We use portable chargers which gives us unlimited location spots. Love that the frame accommodates more than one size tablet. Read more
