My husband plays guitar for fun and is in a local band, as well as playing on our church praise team. He has often mentioned that he’d like to get a stand for using his iPad. Hence, when I saw this Mount It! Universal Tablet Stand, I knew he might be interested in it. I thought it would be a nice stand, so he agreed to assembling it and writing a review for the Mount It! Universal Tablet Stand, based on his experience. Hence, the following is his opinion on the stand. “It took me about 25 minutes from opening the box, to having the stand put together. The directions were straightforward and easy to follow, except for step five. There’s a nut that’s supposed to go on the bolt in step five, but that’s not stated anywhere in the directions. However, since it’s critical for keeping the tablet holder on the pole, it wasn’t too hard to figure out where the nut needed to go. The weight of the stand makes it very sturdy. This kit even comes with bolts if you need to mount it to a floor. We didn’t use those, as I’ll be moving it around instead of using it in one location. The stand is substantial enough that I’m not concerned about it tipping over easily. The company gives you several different silicone pad sizes to put on the tablet holder, so you can select the size that works best with the thickness of your tablet. Unfortunately, my iPad won’t fit in the holder without taking my tablet completely out of its case. I have a protective case with a cover, which makes it too thick to fit in the holder, even without sticking any of the silicone pads on.“ Both my husband and I agree that the stand is nice looking, and will blend in with any atmosphere it’s used in. The solid black paint seems to be a powder coat finish, with no notable imperfections. It’s a solid-feeling stand, with some nice features. The height adjustability with a knob to lock it in place is an appreciated feature, as is the ability to route a charging cord down through the pole, if needed. This stand would be useful for a number of different purposes, and it will be great for meeting our needs. We both highly recommend this stand if you’re in the market to get one. Read more

This is a well-built, solid piece of professional equipment, and is designed for vendors without a counter that do sales or gather other information from customers. It firmly and securely holds a variety of iPad models (check to be sure yours will work) and has a channel inside the support to run the charging cord to an outlet. Note that this is it's dedicated use, so forget it if your thinking it might support your iPad for personal use to refer to notes on it while sitting or standing while addressing a group, or as a "music stand" while playing an instrument. This unit is all business and unsuitable for those purposes. It's heavy, which makes it very stable so it can be temporarily placed at the head of a sign-up line or by a vendor at an open booth at a fair or trade show. However, if you're using it in a permanent location it has 4 holes on the base to bold it to the floor. The iPad holder itself has a good security feature so people can't remove it and walk off with it; and of course can be adjusted either vertically or horizontally depending on your use. I do want to add one personal experience. It's packaged in parts that you need to assemble yourself; not difficult, but slightly time-consuming. However on the stand I received I was unable to secure the iPad holder hinge because I just could not screw the bold into the other side. It was hard to see, but it seemed like there was no screw hole. I wrote the manufacturer, describing the situation and after almost a week heard back from them asking me for the model and where I purchased it. I thought that was odd, since my description was simple and clear, but I wrote back with that information. A few days later I got a response asking me to send a photo of the part - which I had identified by part number shown on their instruction sheet. So, OK...I did that, still puzzled. In another few days I got a request for a close-up photo of the item. I'm a professional photographer, so OK... I could do that. My next email from them said that, yes, it looked like that part was defective and they would send me out a replacement if I'd tell them where to send it. I did so, and received it a week later. Understand that this was a small custom nut that could not have been very expensive. Total time to resolve this was about 2 weeks. Yes, in the end they resolved my problem and the new part worked fine. But it just shouldn't have been so difficult. Read more

The media could not be loaded. It's easy to put together. The entire stand from top to bottom is strong and sturdy. I love they included holes in the base already if you want to screw it into a custom base or the floor. The height is easily adjusted with a finger screw on the back. They give you multiple sized silicone adhesives. They other reviewer that said this mount was a bit too narrow for his tablet probably just needs to double up on the adhesives to make them thicker. I’m using this with a full iPad. The material is solid and quality. Honestly, I had low expectations at first. Once I set it up,I felt much better. The base is heavier than it looks which allows the iPad to be used without this thing falling over. I was worried about balance but that hasn’t been an issue at all. Overall, perfect for my needs!
