The carbon fiber accent isn't really carbon fiber. It's just a sticker insert and scratched the first time my magsafe mount had debris in it (from dropping). The edges come off sometimes when removing from my pocket, and it's only a one-piece case. It has kept my phone safe, but I would recommend a cheaper alternative to this. I haven't tried throwing it off a building like their ads - but they definitely over hyped it. It's nice for the simplicity and aesthetic. It's sleek and lacks bulkiness of multi piece cases. The magnet has held up well, but I don't have many other magsafe cases to test this against. It has held on firmly during regular use, but came off when I fall or run into something (health issues, unrelated to product). I have used several pelican and otter box cases over the years. I usually buy the cheaper alternative cases as some brands "hold up" just as well or better for 1/3 the price. For this being sleek and minimal it has a really good magnet and protection. I like the looks of this case. It's on the bulkier side but it's job it to protect a phone that's over $1000 so I don't mind the extra bulk. I do use Mag safe devices. My magnetic pop socket is easy to remove (a little too easy). When I use my car Mag safe charger, it constantly reconnects, probably because the magnets are on the weaker side. I think it slips when there's bumps in the road. It does work on my Pixel2 wireless stand. Bonus, but probably due to the weaker magnets. I purchased it during Prime discount days. I got it for $21.99. If I would have paid full price, I'd probably return it. For $21.99 I'll live with the weaker magnets and the bulkier protection. The silver pearl is very pretty! Read more

I love the look and feel of this product. The phone is thicker than my last Pixel but it was really easy to install the phone into it. The charging port is a good fit on this case and allows easy access for the charging cable. The magnet works well with my mag safe dock in my car, although I do have a tricky time figuring out exactly where it attaches some days. That could be more of an issue with the dock than the case. Great case, love the feel and design (got the carbon fiber back). Only gripe, which isn't really a gripe due to making it less likely to drop, is the back and sides come together with a small lip around the entire case. It feels weird in comparison to the Google-produced case I used, but like I said, it helps with grip. It's a hard case to the touch, but it feels quality. It's expensive, yes, but if it survives a 12 ft drop, it's worth it to protect a $1k investment. The look of the carbon back is great. It does feel like hard plastic to the touch, but you should expect that if you want drop protection. This case is a little thicker than other cases I've used but after my last phone got a cracked screen when I dropped it, I wanted better protection on my new phone.
