Preparing for a double mastectomy, and this is exactly what I wanted. I washed and dried with sensitive soap and unscented dryer sheet and it's fluffy and ready for action. Or inaction, since I will be using it as I recover/sit around and will myself to heal and do nothing else for weeks. It has adjustable shoulder straps, it also has a strap for around the back. There are two good sized adorably heart shaped pockets; one on the front and one on the back inside. These are perfectly sized for a phone or tv remote or whatever you normally want access to and won't be able to reach around for. The from heart pocket is also a functional muff- like you can reach your hands though to rest- it's quite comforting. There are also deep pockets on the sides that are presumably for the reusable ice packs that came with this package. Be careful about ice/heat- I'm sure it will be a relief for sentinel node healing, but it's dangerous in the double mastectomy zone as there will be no blood supply hence no sensation and that could be potentially dangerous if iced or heated. This pillow is super soft plush fluff- like it's a squimallow for boobs. The cover isn't removable, but like I said, I washed and dried the entire item with no issues (just make sure you're doing it with items that won't shed and pill on your fluffy pillow. Oh, and a mesh bag for drains is also included in this- helpful to have a few of these for cycling in case of spillage (gross but entirely possible). My only ask is that mastectomy items come in more than pinks and grays. Like how about a sunshine yellow or mellow green or comforting blue? Just a thought. Read more

Completely changed my recovery experience!! The sides keep my arms from resting on my incisions, which is also an added bonus. The pillow is so soft, holds my phone, TV, remote, snacks, ice packs, and I like rest my hands in the front pockets to keep them warm. It also adds an extra layer of protection, just in case you bump into something or you accidentally graze your breast. I got this for comfort after a breast reduction. Best thing ever! I am a stomach sleeper so I was worried I would roll onto my belly in my sleep. This helps keep me comfy on my back while providing cushion around my chest and underarms where I have stitches. The quality is really good. It’s so soft and comforting and has pockets to hold your phone and remote so you avoid pulling anything trying to reach for them. There are pockets for ice packs as well. The straps around the back and over the shoulder are elastic and adjustable, they don’t bother you at all. This really is a great purchase that keeps you comfortable while you heal. Read more

I recently underwent double mastectomies and reconstruction surgeries. This pillow was incredibly soft, improved pain and discomfort just by wearing it even without the ice packs. (Although the ice packs are HUGELY IMPORTANT) The included shower mesh bag for drains made showering possible and improved comfort. The ice packs that are included were an amazing value! (Make sure you have extra ice packs to switch out in the freezer so you’re always ready) I am a plus sized lady and had tons of room; all the straps are also elastic and you may need a clothes pin to keep at desired fit.
