It is working alternative to a regular MP3 player. Good to carry a list of songs or stories for your gym work out. You can't beat the price for this screen-less MP3 player. I use this at bedtime to listen to story or meditation to put me to sleep. The chargeable battery don't last more than 7 hours. The Sound quality is comparable to any MP3 player I had, including iPod (7th generation). The volume control is easy to use without looking at the dial. Read more

The instructions for this device are terrible. I could not get it to work when I got it. I tried inserting an SD with a few songs and it wouldn't read it. I formatted the SD in Fat32, FAT, EXFAT, AND NTFS it just wouldn't work. The issue was that I was doing all this formatting on an external card reader. So what finally worked was putting the SD in the device and connecting the device to my Windows 11 computer. Formated to EXFAT dropped a song in and ejected. I happened to have the headphones connected to the device while I did this so when I connected the device to my PC the voice said Computer Mode. Once I did the formatting and ejected the voice said SD mode and my song just started playing. So not 100% sure if what worked was formatting with the device or using the device to add one song and ejecting and forcing the device to enter SD mode. But it worked. I tried adding more songs adding the device as USB reader but it is way too slow. So I used my other SD Card reader and transferred my songs over. Crossed my fingers and put the SD back in the device and it worked. I bought 2 of these so I tried putting the SD in the second device and it just worked goes into SD mode immediately. So I'm thinking formatting with the device adds something to the SD Card. Adding this so it hopefully helps someone. I found very little information online on trouble shooting. Now the device itself is pretty nice for the price. I wanted a shuffle MP3 player and it does that well. The sound is OK. Wish there was a way to add EQing. But the more you listen the more you get used to the sound signature. I read online that it required 128kbps MP3's. This is not true I put all 320kbps MP3's and it plays them just fine. Build quality is not good though very cheap plastics but once you press play you just let it do it's thing and it's more than adequate. Shuffling works really well it really is random. I recommend this device to anyone looking for a cheap shuffle MP3 player. But I would not pay more than $10 for this. Considering you have to get an SD for it and those things shot up in price recently. As an added bonus the device works as a USB DAC when connected to a windows computer. Not a very good one, but it was a surprising feature. You can EQ it this way in whatever MP3 player you use in Windows and it improves the sound but there's no way to save any EQ's to the device.
