I'm giving this a 5 star review because it does exactly what I needed it to do; play mp3's. I use this about 3 hours everyday. It loses half its charge at the 6 hour mark, so if you're only using it for music, you should be fine. It uses both Bluetooth, and wired headphones. You need to use the wired headphones to use the radio app. The Bluetooth works perfectly, but if you wrap your hands around the device, the connection will be interrupted. The Bluetooth connection works just fine if you keep it in your pants or hoodie pocket. However, this thing is made cheaply! The price matches the quality, it is VERY fragile. I put it in a plastic card case, and the screen got scratched. It can survive an accidental 2 foot drop, but now the case clicks when I use the buttons (which are fun to click btw lol). I recommend buying a case (I bought the HOOTEK Hard Drive Hard Case). The case will not interrupt the Bluetooth connection. It's not immediately easy to use, but it's not that hard, either. I can see 12-17 year olds getting frustrated, or anyone who's come off an app like Spotify. There's a learning curve, but if you take the time to read the manual, and explore the device itself, you'll get used to it quickly. I'd say it took me about 30 to 45 minutes to understand the interface. Uploading music is where it gets tricky! You need Windows Media Player to rip any CD's you own, and you'll have to learn how to download or convert mp3 files of your favorite bought music from CD's or YouTube. It's pretty retro, but it's a lot of fun! You'll have to go into your computer files and edit the mp3's to have accurate information. Tedious, but a fun and worthwhile process. You are able to make 6 playlists! So far, I've only made 2 playlists with 20 songs in one, but it doesn't seem like there's a maximum. I bought the white version with 64 GB. At the time of purchase was only $5 more than the 16 GB. I've uploaded 40 full albums, and I still have about 56 GB left. I'd definitely recommend to spring for the 64 gig as opposed to the 16 gig if you can afford it. It does get a little tedious and annoying to navigate once you have a lot of songs. The interface is made of buttons, not a scroll wheel, so I'm clicking and clicking to get to desired songs, but this is why it's important to edit your mp3's so they have the correct info. If there's a specific song I want to listen to, I go to music>albums>Champ>Bambi. I recommend this to: people who value their privacy, people who want to keep what they buy, people whose phones are banned, people who want an accessible intro into MP3 players. Read more
Great unit. Worked out of the box. Easy to download songs into. Unit controls are very intuitive; music, all songs, shuffle. Read more
Having read different reviews, I was skeptic. This player however has proven I have nothing to worry about. It's very simple, so once you're past that it's a good little player. Read more
Why get an Mp3 player in 2022? Well Im a nostalgic person who had A LOT of love for the iPod Classic and since the classic has been discontinued for quite some time, I wanted to check and see what options there were for an Mp3 player to have around the house or when I go on runs. I came across this little mp3 player and thought Id give it a go. Upon receiving it and opening it up I was shocked at how beautiful the colors were and the construction was simple and somewhat cheap but okay. It wasn't until I started it up and was playing around until I discovered... THAT IN 2022 , SOMEHOW THIS THING DOESNT HAVE BLUETOOTH! It has a 3.5mmm headphone jack but its hard to justify just having the jack when BT headphones are so accessible and the "norm" now-a-days. That is heavily the reason Im only giving this a 3 star not to mention the somewhat complicated process of uploading things. Rather than complicated its more clunky and not streamlined but once you understand how its a breeze. Read more
