This is a really nice travel curling iron. It's compact to make it easy to take on the go and it even comes with plug adapters for if you travel to other countries. Also has a velvet storage bag and a heat protectant glove. It heated quickly and did a good job of curling my hair. The one complaint I have is that there are no instructions on how to cycle through settings, power on/off etc. It took me a few minutes to figure out to press and hold to put it in the mode to be able to change the heat settings by pressing once each time to advance through the settings. I couldn't figure out how to power it off and on with the button, but evidently the only on/off is the plug as far as I can tell, plug it in to turn it on, unplug to turn off. No biggie, but including that info in the manual or even here would have been helpful. I do think it is best for short hair, the barrel is pretty short, but the product description clearly says for short to medium hair, so just be aware of that. And it's recommended to curl starting at the scalp and wrapping hair around the barrel too (although it does have a clip on the barrel too) Just a really nice little set for someone with shorter hair who travels often. Can also be stowed away in your desk at work or glove box for quick touch ups when you're caught in the rain, or those high humidity days that makes your hair fall flat (or maybe rather puff up haha) Read more

Works in US without adapter just fine, does not heat up using international adapter. I had the heat set up to 400 degrees and it was barely warm to the touch, unfortunately I didn’t realize this until I was already out of the country. Read more

I typically carry a full-size curling iron when I travel because I have wavy hair which can get unruly. A curling iron helps me fix the problem spots where my hair wants to flip out in a bizarre direction/spot. However, curling irons are pretty bulky, and I don't love how much space it's been taking up in my bad, so I decided to order this and give it a try. I was convinced from the photos that it wasn't going to save that make space, but it's actually about as compact as it can get without losing functionality. The Good: - Very compact for a curling iron - Heats up fast - Controls are easy to use (hold button to turn on/off; once on, press button to cycle through temps). - Seemed to heat up evenly and got to a perfect usable temp for my hair with the middle setting - The surface is smooth. No jagged parts/edges or anything to catch on hair. - Came with a heat glove and two travel adapters (I likely won't use any of these since when I travel for work, it's always domestic, but it's a nice inclusion. - Curled my hair as well as my primary curling iron once I adjusted to the size. My curls held well also (I woke up this morning with my hair still curled/wavy). The Downsides - The size meant it took a minute for me to adjust to curling my hair with it. It's absolutely a usable size for my hair, but my muscle memory kept expecting the iron part to be farther from my hand than it was. I was just a bit clumsy with it for the first few minutes as I adjusted to the new size. - The plastic tip at the end is pretty small. It was hard to grab safely without accidentally brushing up against the iron part. I'm sure the glove would fix this problem, but I don't like using head gloves when styling and since I'm trying to save space in my bag with this curling iron, I definitely don't want to pack the glove.
