I need good, medium whiteboard markers, so I bought and tested sets from three companies. Mr. Pen markers were the least expensive. I won't mention the names of the other two companies, but you can look them up on Amazon. They are the most expensive. Wow, was I ever shocked. These Mr. Pen markers are absolutely the best. The colors are much more bold and opaque. The other sets have pens that are just fair. The colors are faded out. I'll never buy the expensive ones again. Mr. Pen markers from now on. I've only had them 5 weeks, but I've used them a *lot.* I have no idea how long any of the pens will last, but since the others are about 3 times the price, I'd still buy these again even if they don't last as long. They were not dried out. This was my biggest fear buying these. The price was good. The downside is, some of the colors are VERY light when you write on the whiteboard. A few of the colors can't even be read. I will use the ones that work well, but won't buy this brand again. Read more

These Mr. Pen dry erase markers are an affordable alternative to Expo markers. There are pros and cons, but if budget is your primary thing, then these are it. Mr. Pen also guarantees (basically) your satisfaction via replacement or refund no matter how long its been, according to the small paper insert. I do hope they stay in business longer than an overnight operation! But for the price I paid, less than a fast food burger, you can't complain. Pros: * very cheap (price) at about 1/3 the price of Expo at the time I purchased * large selection of colors 12x * well packaged * great satisfaction guarantee offer (if they don't go out of business) * No noticeable odors!
