This splint is fantastic for people with significant wrist injuries. I have a small fracture of one of the bones of my wrist and was hoping to avoid a cast—my orthopedist and I negotiated and agreed on this splint. It is far more rigid than most wrist splints, and yes it runs a little smaller but I think for the purposes of immobilization that is preferred. I’m using it for my left hand and the thumb hole is cut well. I can see this being hot and a bit tight for wearing if you have just mild carpal tunnel and need a nightly wrist splint, but for more significant wrist injuries and near immobilization this is a fantastic splint. If you have just nightly need for a splint for carpal tunnel or mild injuries then Mueller’s green splint would be perfect. I needed something to keep my wrist from moving, I had picked up a smaller brace with medium support from a store on clearance. I was so impressed with that one I went looking to see what else this brand had for me. I am amazed at the comfort level of this brace for the amount of support it gives. I've only been using it a few days and have ordered two more. Mainly it's my right wrist, but the left gets jealous and acts up on occasionally. I have carpal tunnel and it gets pretty bad sometimes. I've owned a few different wrist braces and, while they all helped, none of them stopped my wrist from moving completely. I was always able to move it more than I should've, which didn't help my carpal tunnel. This brace is amazing. It has metal on the top and the bottom, so there is very little movement at my wrist. The nerve pain I had shooting up my arm went away almost immediately. Also, it works on both arms. I'm ordering another one right now. Highly recommend. FYI: I got the large size. When I measured my wrist, I fell exactly between sizes. The large fits me perfectly. I will say, if you have larger hands, this may not work for you because the strap on the back of the hand is rather short. Read more
I'm still going to buy them because they work better for me than the alternates both in pain control and retaining some dexterity, but while the pricing on them keeps going up the quality is dropping even more rapidly. I had the last set <1 year alternating back and forth between them and wear them about 12-14 hours a day most of the time. The originals were lasting more than a year and a half. The gray is worse than the blue in that regard, usually, but this last pair already have worn spots, strings coming loose, and the metal support is starting to push through the front already. For the price, it does it's job a bit. The bottom bar works like magic in restricting movement. The two crisscross supports on top do absolutely nothing. The combination of those top bars and the elastic material of the stabilizer, it has way too much give. You can practically bend your hand completely backwards, which defeats the purpose of a stabilizer. Does it compress??? Yes. Is it comfortable?? Yes. Does it work?? For the most part, yes, as long as you don't do anything to bend your hand backwards. Read more

I do think this is comfortable and more supportive in a way I need it to be than most of the standard carpal tunnel splint that have 3 straps and one palmar metal stay. But I know there’s even more supportive braces out there and I’m a little spoiled by those. Also I’m an obese female and my hands aren’t that big but I was worried reading all the reviews that said even a large/extra large didn’t fit their small hands, but I have no issue with the fit.
