Angel Stellar - a woody fragrance for fall and winter

I enjoy Mugler fragrances. When I saw the new Angel Stellar eau de parfum, I had to try it! Angel Stellar is advertised as an ambery gourmand blend of bergamot, pistachio, vanilla bourbon, and woody accord. The pistachio and vanilla are what excited me the most. Unfortunately, the woody accord completely dominates and I could not detect the pistachio or vanilla at all. To me, it is in no way a gourmand scent, ambery or otherwise. After I got over my initial disappointemnt, I realized that I will probably enjoy wearing Angel Stellar in the fall/winter. Indeed, the Mugler website, which I visited after I purchased and wore the parfum for the first time, describes Angel Stellar as "a great choice for fall and winter though it can be worn year-round" and "perfect for a cool night no matter what season." (Had I known this earlier, I probably would have waited until fall to purchase.) I don't find that Angel Stellar is overly strong at first, as some reviewers have mentioned, but I am cautious with initial applications of any perfume (too many bad experiences). Plus, Mugler fragrances tend to be strong and long lasting, and I found Angel Stellar is no exception. I deducted a star only because I found the advertised scent profile a bit misleading. Read more
