There is nothing better than being cocooned inside a soft, cozy knit sweater on a brutally cold day. This cardigan sweater in particular brings with it no shortage of warmth, while also being comfortable and stylish. The small buttons made from mother of pearl allow versatility as to how it can be worn, and the rolled neckline is a subtle detail that adds to its effortless appearance. I ordered this striped cardigan sweater in the pale pink and white stripes, and in a size large. It has a slightly oversized fit, so I wouldn’t advise ordering it any larger than your normal size, and if in between sizes, you may want to go smaller. For me, I found the length and width to be ideal; I prefer somewhat of an oversized fit when it comes to sweaters. The tightly woven knit fabric supplied a comfortable level of warmth while it was worn. What impressed me most about this was the attention that was given to its assembly. All the stitching is aligned and consistent, and the seams have been reinforced to strengthen the pressure points and help maintain the basic structure of the sweater over time. This is the first clothing piece I have received in recent months with a pattern that was properly matched at the seams! While the stripes do not align at the sleeves, it matched elsewhere. It may seem like an insignificant detail, but it makes such an enormous difference in the visual cohesiveness of a garment. Pattern mismatch is often an indication of rushed and low quality clothing construction and it lowers the perceived value of a piece. Once seen, it can’t be unseen. Not only do the stripes line up, but the colors matched as well. This striped cardigan is a timeless and easy to wear piece that will last. There are an endless number of ways it can be styled, as well as being able to be dressed up or dressed down. Because of its generous fit, there’s also quite a bit of versatility as to what can be worn underneath it. Of course, it can be worn on its own. Given how affordable it is, it’s one of those pieces that will pay for itself much sooner rather than later. If on a budget and in search of a sweater that is beautiful while still providing comfort and plenty of warmth this winter; this is an excellent choice. Read more
