For such a cheap price I couldn't resist... and I'm glad I didn't. Its only warm enough to putt outside 6 month out of the year here, and to keep my feel consistent year round I always want to putt inside. Iv had several indoor putting cups, tins, and artificial roll out turfs over the past few years and to me, this works best. The lip on the front side is about as low as possible so even at slow speeds the ball will roll in. Its small enough to set anywhere and I'm lucky enough to have decent, green-like carpet in the house. For such a simple contraption, I get a lot of use from it. With its low profile, the speed is key. Hit too hard, the ball rolls right over the cup and keeps rolling, especially if you don't place the little flag in the back. Miss right or left, the ball rolls up the slope and off the back right past the cup. They may not have an insert to make the hole smaller, but for longer putts on a good mat, they are perfect and I would not consider them a toy. They are better than most in allowing the ball to go over and past the cup, so speed training is easily accomplished along with timing and tempo. Great aid to practice putting. Get the putting stroke correctly and the ball will fall into the cup. Hit a foot or so past the hole type stroke and the ball will still stay in the cup. But hit any harder and the ball will roll over the whole setup. Read more

If you are not lazy and don't need the auto return, this is the the most realistic. The problem with the auto return units is the the bump to get over is way too high. I measured my carpet with a Stimp meter and its about 11. With my auto return machine, if you hit two identical speed shots with just barely enough speed to get over the hump, the identical shot will run 3-4 feet passed the machine. We make homemade putt putt course with the kids for fun as something to do during COVID, so got this for fun. The plastic looked super cheap online but it’s actually pretty good quality. Obviously, it’s just a simple product, but worth the price. Good stuff! Read more
