Awesome Basket for All Skill Levels! (Especially for Putting Practice) I'm a senior and I recently picked up the MVP Black Hole Pro HD basket to get more exercise in my own backyard. Let me tell you, this thing is awesome! Here's what really impressed me: Catches like a dream: The 24 heavy-duty chains catch discs really well, just like the baskets you see on real courses. I haven't had any spit-outs yet, and the all-metal construction feels super sturdy. Plus, there are even ground stakes included to make sure the basket doesn't get knocked over by wind or a wild putt. Portable and Easy to Set Up: This basket is amazing for portability. It's lightweight and breaks down into a flat, compact size that's easy to throw in the car. It takes less than a minute to put together (seriously!), but I'll probably just leave it set up all summer so I can easily use it. Perfect for Everyone: I wouldn't just recommend this basket for serious disc golfers. It's great for anyone who wants to have some fun throwing discs! Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pro, this basket is a perfect way to practice your putting and improve your game. PDGA Approved Size: This basket is exactly the same height and size as the baskets on real disc golf courses, so you can practice putting with the confidence that you're getting a realistic feel. Overall, I'm super happy with the MVP Black Hole Pro HD basket. It's well-made, portable, and fun for everyone. If you're looking for a great way to practice your disc golf game, and get some activity I highly recommend it! Read more
This professional quality disc golf basket is a must have due to its portability and ease of use. It’s incredibly simple to disassemble, making it perfect for players who are always on the go or want to set up a quick round anywhere. The pieces fit together seamlessly, and breaking it down takes only a few minutes without any tools. Despite its easy assembly, it remains sturdy during play, with no compromise on quality. If you're looking for a professional-grade basket that's convenient to transport, this one is top-notch! Despite the weight, I would choose this basket over most of the other competitors. The chains are solid, and the durability of it sets a new bar on quality for a backyard basket. The powder-coated components look great too. We love this set up for practicing our putt-game before heading out to the larger courses and then it breaks down to virtually nothing. Read more
The media could not be loaded. I’ve been using a fold-up Innova DiscCatcher for 10 years and decided to take my backyard practice to the next level. This basket was the clear #1 among the forums and reviews I consulted and it does not disappoint. Went with the HD Pro for added weight, durability, catchability. I see no difference from what I encounter on an actual course. As reviewer JW noted this is a LOUD basket given the weight and number of the chains, so I followed his awesome advice on muting it given how close my neighbors are. For $10 I ordered a 1 1/2” black 6 ft pipe insulation tube on Amazon, and cutting the length a bit this perfectly fits over the pole (as shown in photo/video). Looks like it was part of the basket, and crucially, that fits in the inner ring of the chains with a few mm to spare. Thrilled about this purchase and the simplicity of setup - do recommend the insulator for those playing in close quarters. I could see taking this portably out to a field with friends but went with this ~45 lbs and no case for home use and the feel of a professionally installed basket. Read more

Amazing basket. I am completely satisfied with this purchase. It is gonna be tough going from my black hole to the cheap baskets at my local courses. Twice as nice as my local baskets. If you are on the fence about it... Order one. You won't regret it a bit. Fast, free shipping was icing on the cake. Heavy duty build and stunning looks. Set up took 43 seconds. All pros, no cons at all. Like my Trail and Detour discs, MVP knocked this out of the park. Read more
I think you would be hard pressed to find a better basket at this price point. I also think the only basket you will find that is better would be a full fledged permanent course basket for 400 to 450. Everything looks good, solid, and well built. As long as you take care of it, the basket should last for many years. As others have commented, mine did have a little damage from shipping. I don't blame Amazon. I think the packers should use a bit more cardboard or even some pine boards to help secure and reinforce the box. Mine didn't have enough damage to want to ship back. I was very happy with it and started putting right away after assembly. You have the bottom stand, two pole pieces, the basket, the top ring with chains attached (chains cannot be removed without bending/cutting something), and the top screw cap. They pole pieces thread into the base, and each other. The cap, and each pole tighten together to hold the basket and top ring in place. Easy to assemble and disassemble in a matter of minutes. All pieces and parts fit inside the basket. It also comes with the 4 hook pegs to stabilize the basket. They are not needed on flat ground with a small breeze. If it gets gusty, they may come in handy. Also, I would recommend adding a few layers of electrical tape on the bottom 5 inches of the top pole piece where the chain rings are located. After a bit of use, I could tell that the paint/powder coating would eventually get chipped away. I plan on making a big carry bag for protection and make it easy to transport disassembled. Read more
This thing is super heavy duty and durable! It doesn’t fall over when you hit it hard it with a frisbee disc. Our family plays a lot of frisbee golf. Sometimes I just don’t want to drive to the frisbee golf course so now we drag this out in the yard and practice. It’s easy to move around and you could easily take it apart and put it in your car and take it somewhere. It snaps apart quickly. Read more
