I travel extensively and my MySmile has gone on every journey with me for 3-1/2 years now! I think it is wonderful! It is still as good as new. It charges quickly, has equal the water stream strength as a countertop Waterpik, and I love that the digital display shows how much charge is left (among other details). My Waterpik recently quit working and I have been using the MySmile as my everyday water flosser. I am very impressed by the fact that it is still going strong with the amount of use. The only thing that some may find to be a negative is that it is a little bulky because of the size of the water tank. With that being said, it needs to be bulky to hold enough water to thoroughly water floss your teeth! For it to last through 3-1/2 years of frequent use and still work as well as it did the day I bought it says a lot about the quality of the product. Read more

I absolutely love my new MY Smile water flosser. On the advice of a dental hygienist I purchased a different brand this past July and within 5 months several areas of plastic on the device had broken off. Recently I spoke to another hygienist, who mentioned that one of her colleagues was pleased with their My Smile flosser. I really like the fact that you can fill the water container by unscrewing the base, no need to worry about a small plastic opener that can easily break off. Also, the digital readout is very helpful. I’m also impressed with UV feature that sterilizes the unit after each use. I am very pleased with how well the flosser works and also that you can choose between several different pressure modes. My only complaint is that the instruction booklet is a little difficult to understand. But, I contacted the company and they responded within a few hours and will be sending me more detailed instructions. I am very satisfied with this product and happy to have this water flosser added to my oral care. Read more

I have been told by my dentist I have a small mouth, not a lot of space between my teeth. This device, along with "Davids Hydroxi Fluoride Free Nano Hydroxyapatite Toothpaste", and a soft bristled toothbrush helped me recover from a dental pain nightmare, which required 2 visits to the dentist and 1 root canal to handle cavities in hard-to-reach places. Temporarily using it along with oral Chlorhexidine in the water well (i.e. long-term everyday Chlorhexidine use is not advised), significantly improved my gum health as I wasn't dedicated enough to repeatedly fight with strings of floss. Yes, I know some people do just fine....I wasn't one of them. This device also helped me locate cavities early and keep them clean. Bottom line, it has helped and continues to help me stop soft plaque buildup in tight spaces, and has reduced my dentist's need to scrape plaque off with specialist tools. Spent a total of 10 minutes in the chair, walked away with a thumbs up and "good job". A single charge for this device lasts over a week, and that was with 3 to 4 times a day use during my recovery phase. The only thing I would have done differently if I had a do over of the early days, was to not stop and start the device. Best practice: - Fill the water well with distilled water if you have it (i.e., less chance of bacteria), - Set the water pressure to what's comfortable, this model facilitates this without water flowing. - Do bottom row of teeth on both outside and inside where your tongue sits, repeat for top row. - Spit out the excess water that fills your mouth and don't turn it off until all the water is used up. - On another day alternate and use the attachment for cleaning your gumline. - Whether soaking or brushing your teeth, leave between 3-4 minutes for just holding any liquid in your mouth. The good chemicals need time to bond with your teeth and kill the bacteria. I don't have any leakage issues. The battery life is good. P.S. There is a proper way to use a toothbrush so you are actually moving plaque and not just wiping your teeth. Fortunately, your dental office and YouTube has many dentists who post on how it should be done. Read more

This is the first time I've used a water flosser so don't have anything to compare it to. I understand that a counter-top, plug in device holds more water and is more powerful (and more expensive), but I didn't have the space for that so went with this one based on reviews here and on YouTube. It's pretty straightforward and I've been using it at the strongest setting, which does seem to remove some leftovers from regular flossing, though sometimes do have to use regular flossing afterwards to clean up leftovers. There is a bit of a learning curve, but I've gotten to the point where I am no longer intermittently power washing my face. One thing to note when you charge it, it looks like it stops at 93% full, but in fact slows down significantly to protect the lithium battery (I contacted the seller about this and they responded quickly to verify this protective factor, though they initially asked for a video of what I was seeing - almost a routine request these days - and I refused because it was ridiculous, and they seemed to agree and just answered my question. Also, this device is a bit more expensive than some other portable ones, but seems to be of good quality and does have the bigger reservoir; however, for the price, they could have included a charger. They specifically say to use a 5 volt, 1A charger, and fortunately I was able to find one around the house. Don't know if a charger with more Amps would harm it. Can't comment about the longevity yet since I have only had it a few weeks, but so far, so good. Read more
