I don't think I have ever given five stars to a plumping lip gloss before and had zero qualms about doing it. There is no doubt in my mind that this Peptide Plumping Lip Gloss by MS Skin deserves it. The good- The color wand is angled nicely to curve around the lip. The color is subtle, but not invisible, and has a lovely shine. The plumping is created by a cold sensation, which is not as obvious of a plump as the hot pepper ones that create a swelling reaction on the skin but is still noticeable and less painful. The best- Even after the color wears off over a few hours, the moisturizing feel is still there. After eating a snack and later lunch the color was mostly gone, but I don't bother replacing because my lips feel like they are being hugged by a fantastic lip balm. They are soft, and look great with just that. I have never had any lip product that didn't leave me feeling dry after it wore off before. The bad- I have nothing here. It does what it says it will do, it looks good while doing it, it feels nice, and the after effect is amazing. Read more

I really struggled with what star rating to give this. If 4.5 was possible, I would have done that. I consider myself a lifelong lipgloss junkie and I've tried'em all. This one is truly lovely and is one of the nicest I've ever used. It's hydrating, not sticky, doesn't wear off quickly, doesn't leave my lips dry and thirsty for more ( IYKYK), the color is natural and flattering with just the right amount of shine, and the applicator glides on smoothly every time. My only disappointment is that, try as I might, I see no plumping on my lips. For this price, to make that claim, I think people expect the product to deliver. To be fair, I have thin lips, so maybe you first need to have lips that can plump. I don't know. If lip plumpers work for you, maybe this will too. They never have for me, and this one didn't either. That's why I deducted a star. However, if they hadn't made that claim, and it was just a luxury lipgloss that did all the other things, I would have paid this price for it and been happy with the value for my money because it's a really good lipgloss. If you're looking for high-end quality, similar to Chanel and don't need more volume, this is a good one to try. Read more

I love everything about this. The cool minty feeling on my lips. The color, the shine, the hydration. No sticky feeling at all. The plum shade is very natural looking, with a hint of shimmer. I have not had any lip fillers, and don't plan to. This gloss gives my lips just a little bit of extra, so the lines aren't as deep. This is the gloss I keep in my purse to use whenever I go out. Only my best lip products get this honor. That said, I'm going to have a hard time shelling out $50 when it's time for a new one. I haven't decided yet if it's worth the price. Read more

I have ordered a few high end peptide lip glosses/serums in hopes that with continued use that I will see a bit more volume in my lip shape. I have very thin lips naturally. I have a moderate amount of filler in them to help the shape. It starts wearing off after about a year, so anything that I can do to help elongate the timeframe before I go back is beneficial. Each one that I have tried has a different application method and this one, by far is my favorite. The length of the wand and the shape of the wand is perfect for precise application (even in smaller areas). The color is subtle, its more of a shimmer on my lips. It tastes minty, which is nice. It does plump my lips subtly without it being overt. The cost is a bit much, but a little goes a long way. As long as you use it consistently, it is worth it. If you plan on using it sparingly, it probably isnt. Read more

Most of the lip glosses I’ve owned have been overly sticky so I’ve tended to stay away from them as a whole. However, I was given the opportunity to test this lip gloss from a premium skincare brand and figured I’d give it a chance. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that it really isn’t very sticky - my lips don’t feel stuck together and my hair doesn’t get caught on it. It feels more like a heavy balm. I was also pleasantly surprised at how moisturizing it was for my winter lips. As far as color, however, I was hoping for a little more. I am pretty pale and without some lip color can look very washed out. This lip gloss added a tiny bit of color but was very close to my natural lips. This may be a pro for some or could be layered on top of a lip color. The product picture suggested there would be a little more color here, which wasn’t the case, so I’d opt for a darker shade next time. Overall, I do like this product but this shade isn’t the one for me. Read more

At the time of writing, this lip gloss costs fifty dollars. When a product is two to three times more expensive than similar options, it really needs to deliver standout results, and unfortunately this one does not, at least not for me. Plumping lip glosses work by moisturizing the lips and using ingredients that increase blood flow, which only creates temporary results, usually lasting a couple of hours. Because of that, I expected a strong minty smell or taste with some mild irritation, since that is typical for this kind of product. Instead, there is another smell and taste mixed in that I find pretty unpleasant. I left it on for a few minutes, but the way it made the tip of my tongue feel tingly, combined with the taste, bothered me enough that I wiped it off. It was not particularly easy to remove, so I suppose that speaks well to its staying power. As for actual plumping, I did not notice much beyond the visual effect you get from any glossy finish. That said, the color and shimmer are genuinely beautiful and look really nice on the lips, and it does feel moisturizing. I just wish the taste were different, and at this price point, I expected a lot more. Read more
