THIS IS MY NEW FAVORITE. I’m picky about deodorant. Most “clean” ones either quit by noon or smell like a yoga studio meltdown. Nécessaire The Deodorant Olibanum actually does the job and doesn’t make a scene. The scent is subtle, warm, and grown. Olibanum reads earthy and resinous, not perfumey, not medicinal, not trying too hard. It smells expensive in a quiet way. Like good skin, not fragrance. Formula-wise, it goes on smooth, no grit, no sticky weirdness, no white marks. It holds up through real life, stress, errands, heat, movement. I don’t find myself checking or reapplying like I do with most aluminum-free options. Bonus points for zero irritation. No burning, no itching, no post-shave regret. I’ve tried several natural deodorants including: - necessaire - salt and stone - native - each and every Necessaire (hinoki) is the best. It’s easily the best and reducing and masking odor. Good smell. Salt and stone smells good, but kind of blends with odor instead of masking it. Read more

Truly the most effective natural deodorant. The fragrance is phenomenal, frankincense softened by vanilla and a green fig, i wouldn’t call the vanilla prominent (i don’t want to smell like a 21 year old’s birthday cake and generally hate vanilla, so this is good news). It lasts all day even on super hot days and it easy to wash off and start fresh. The acid content is high enough here that i did have to start with every other day application, alternating with a weaker deo. It still irritates from time to time, at which point i take a day or two off, then resume. It can leave white marks if i don’t let it set all the way down and im wearing a tank top, but the marks are much more faint than with others. Having written this all out I’m realizing that the caveats are many, but worth it to me. And the packaging is so pretty. Read more
If you have sensitive skin, you have to try this deodorant. I have tried many "natural" options but would ultimately end of up a rash. I've been using this consistently for almost a year and have had zero issues. Keeps me dry and fresh. Eucalyptus is my favorite scent! Read more
I have no idea what olibanum is supposed to smell like, but the scent of this deodorant is actually lovely. It's warm, fresh, and light. Not cloying, and doesn't turn sickly when mixed with body odor. On that note- I haven't even had BO since using this. I'm postpartum (so hormone dumps and inconsistent showering), and even when I wasn't, I've struggled through trying what seems like every deo available over the years. Cheap, expensive, natural, not. This is on it's way to being one of the only deodorants I actually finish up, and that makes it well worth the price. Again, smells great. Doesn't cause irritation. This simply works for me. I'm tired of all the products pushed on us that are actually toxic to our bodies--like aluminum anti-perspirant. This is pricey but worth it. The feel is smooth, like a nice lotion, the fragrance is mild and clean, and the protection is excellent. Treat yourself! Read more
I love this brand and have used the body lotion which is wonderful. I ordered the deodorant stick and the scent is very similar to the Eucalyptus lotion, but has a bit more pine (almost pine sol) but not enough to not use and like it! The container is very sturdy - almost wish it was a little lighter for gym bag or travel. Works well - no stink, no white residue, no irritation. Read more
