Naadam is okay for general cashmere consumption. It's far from the best but certainly not the worst. I have this hoodie in another color - chocolatey brown. It has a black zipper which is appropriate. This black one has a big, ugly silver zipper that ruins the whole effect of a nice, drapey cashmere hoodie. Instead it gives it an industrial look. What a wonderful surprise! I'd had a similar cashmere sweater with zipper that I bought at Nordstrom 20 years ago. I loved that sweater, but it had grown old and worn at the elbows and was starting to separate at the seams. When The Wirecutter posted about this one, I leapt at the chance to replace my old one, but I was worried the 1X size wouldn't fit me well as a plus-sized woman who usually wears about a size 20. Much to my surprise, this one fit great! And it's so soft and high quality that I'm sure I'm going to wear it as much as possible, even though I live in Phoenix and can only wear it for about 8 weeks out of the year, lol. Read more

I definitely feel this is a very soft sweater. The zipper works easily. The quality of the fabric appears to be very well made. It is light weight and comfortable. It is warm but not for winter due to being to thin. I would suggest it as a crisp fall morning or later spring weather jacket. The style is casual because it does have a hood and hood strings. I do not think this is worth the ridiculously high cost however. I feel like there is a big store with a brand called stars above and this fabric and style are VERY SIMILAR and the price is better at the store. Read more

The color I selected was “Oatmeal,” and I was totally underwhelmed with the color I received. I expected a vibrant color, even though it was in the tan/toupe/beige family. The hoodie was going to be a staple in my wardrobe, thinking it would be a versatile piece that I would wear quite frequently. Now I use it exclusively on the weekends when running errands. When I think of cashmere, I automatically think of plush and luxury. This sweater does not reflect those standards. This hoodie does not reflect my vivacious and colorful style. This price should reflect a high-end piece of my wardrobe, something I would find in Nordstrom; instead, it feels like a plain sweatshirt you would pick up at Target, Kohl’s, or Old Navy. Read more
