These are great clippers but extremely sharp. I am 74 years old and tried to clip my own toe nails. Bad, bad idea. I accidentally cut the tip off two of my toes and I am diabetic so that was a problem. I did it before I knew it was happening. As we age our toe nails get thicker and harder to cut. These clippers are perfect to cut thru a thicker nail. Unless you can get to your own toes really good and can see what you're doing, don't try to do it yourself. Absofreaking amazing! Opens to half inch gap easily! Extremely sharp. Cuts like butter. Embarrassing to admit but I have one toe that has fungus and over grown thickness on the nail bed. I found a treatment but nothing to remove the nail. Thick thick nail. This….one swipe gone and now I can begin the healing process. Never will i buy another clipper again.
