I purchased one a few months ago, and was really happy that I did. I had been using the cheap clippers from CVS and while they weren't terrible, neither were they outstanding. These Rhone clippers are quite sharp. I like that they fold down flat and come with a velvet pouch to keep them in good condition. There is ample leverage to use them without hurting my fingers. These are actually pretty cool. They don't fall apart like "normal" nail clippers when you open them. Everything is firmly attached. There's even a magnet in the handle that keeps the spring from flopping around when the clippers are in the closed position. They're really sharp and have no issues cutting my nails like they were made of butter. They're a great addition to my EDC kit. Read more

I am a guitarist, play a lot of fingerstyle so I absolutely need my nails to be in top shape, cleanly cut, and shaped on the picking hand. In light of that, te irony of my leaving a review cannot be understated, but I assure you it comes from a place of FINALLY being happy and satisfied with a nail clippers that deserves to be titled The Best I've Ever Used! These have an amazing build, which gives one full and confident control. As I pulled them from the bag, the FIRST thing I check on any nail clipper is that the blades are ground at the same time and line up with no over/under bite. These were already in the closed position and the blades are absolutely perfectly ground. The leverage provided by the length and shape of the handles is outstanding! I clipped my first nail with these and it required next to no effort, and my nails are very thick. The cut was as precice and as clean as can be! It required NO filing! No burrs, no tears, nothing but a perfect, near effortless cut! The shape of the cutting head allows unparalleled precision and control, HOW DID I LIVE WITHOUT THESE!!? They are THAT good! These things are beast clippers... megalodons of the clipper world! They are SUPER SHARP and cut the nastiest, thickest of nails! (if you work in elderly health care, or you're over 50, you know the kind of nails I'm talking about!) These clippers make me think of excellent German quality products.
