I was very surprised at how good these clippers are, especially at the low price. They are every bit as effective and well-made as their counterparts that cost up to $50 more. I was looking for clippers that swivel, and again to be honest, I did not expect the high quality performance of these; I just hoped to be able to angle them to reach my toenails after knee replacement surgery. The clippers are super sharp and finely ground. The swivel angle is super easy to use. They look sleek and elegant and a week look to be very sturdy and durable. They come in a nicely stitched and surprisingly nice faux leather case with a magnetic snap to keep them in. I can't think of s single negative aspect. They work equally well for toenails as fingernails, as the jaws are wide enough to accommodate thicker nails. They are great for clipping gel nails too. I am 100% satisfied and highly recommend them. I like the carrying case. I like the sturdiness of the clippers. I love the way the cutting piece can swivel around to any angle to make it easy to cut my nails. Because I have arthritis in my wrist-thumb joints, clipping fingernails has been difficult for me for a long time. I had a pair of rotary-head fingernail clippers, but the plastic handle broke after a few years, so I decided to try stainless steel clippers. The price was low, so I wasn’t expecting much, but I was wrong, these are fantastic! The steel is heavy and they feel sturdy. I just used them for the first time and I was blown away by how easily they cut through my fingernails, leaving smooth edges. I guess they are sharper than my last pair, or maybe the leverage is better, but whatever the reason, I’m really happy with these. For years I've been struggling with ordinary nail clippers. It is sometimes difficult, when you're getting old, to reach toenails, and even fingernails can be a problem to align correctly so the cut is straight, especially if a nail is damaged, thick, or doesn't grow perfectly straight from the nail bed. Fine nail clippers, rotating ones are easy to use and these feel very durable. However, the blade is definitely NOT curved - the photo on the bottom is the broken clipper I was replacing, which is MUCH more comfortable. Straight blades flatten the nail as you're clipping and I think it's very uncomfortable. Read more
