I ordered this product for my tween, who has started doing her nails at home (both press-on nails and UV gel nails). These are both great products to help with adhesion of the nails. The product arrived well-packaged and undamaged at my house without any of the product leaking (which is a plus in my book). The dehydrator is great for prepping the nails for gel polish. The primer is great for adhesion of press-on nails. We haven't advanced to acrylics, but I'm sure it would be good for that too. At time of review, the product was selling for $8, which is a reasonable price to me for both a dehydrator and a primer, however it could be expensive if you don't plan to use one of them. Read more

Arrived just in time for a refill on my nails. The emery file and sticks help prep work before using the dehydrator. The dehydrator evaporated quickly at 60 seconds I did use my electric air nail fan with no heat. The dehydrator removed all debris and oil from my nails. The next step was to use the Xtrabond nail primer. I used a very light coat because a little bit goes a long ways. I also put the nails in the electric air nail fan with no heat for 90 seconds. Making certain that the primer was completely dry before moving on to the base coat. Both Dehydrator & Primer are acid free and aren't harmful to my nails and nail beds. Both have a very low smell factor, this is great because usually both products have a huge pungency and needs to be applied in a well vented area. The price is very reasonable for the products you will be receiving. I'm very pleased with the Honey Joy and would recommend this to my friends. Read more

I have been doing my own gel nails for years and know that prepping your nails correctly is the one thing that will ensure your polish lasts for weeks without chipping. For gel polish a nail dehydrator is a must and this brand works just as well as the more expensive ones. For me, the primer is not as important when doing just a polish, but helps more with adhesion of acrylics or tips. Since I don’t use acrylics, I can’t speak to how well it works, but the dehydrator is great! Read more
