This is such a great bottle, we have two sets. It is leak free. We have toddlers that throw them, drop them and leave them where ever. It is very clean and sanitary to use. The best feature of this water bottle is that it only has three parts, which we can confidently wash clean in the dishwasher. No hand washing! I love Nalgene bottles as an adult so assumed I'd love a Nalgene bottle for my kid. The problem? Turns out it's really, really hard to get water out through that little straw. Did no one test these? Unfortunately we'd already washed these before trying them (as you do) so could not return them.
