The description says it is an 8" mattress, and it takes 72 hours, but that was not my experience. It fully expanded to 7" within a day. The mattress is dense and comfortable. I'm glad for the purchase -- delivery was quick, and I was able to get up the stairs to my apartment by myself. The price is also affordable compared to other bed-in-a-box products.
