This is a good rice maker/multifunction grain cooker. Pretty easily to clean, good capacity for 2 adults and 2 teens if you eat rice as a side/starch and not the main meal. Probably not quite big enough for 4 big rice eaters. It's attractive and works well. It is slower than my previous (Walmart cheapo black and decker rice maker from 1999), but it does a great job and is well made. Read more

Small enough for minimal counter space needs. Easy to operate. The one thing I dislike is that it spits via steam. Though not messy enough to downgrade review at all. Worth the price. Read more

I purchased this solely based on other reviews I read. I had a small rice cooker for years, but wanted to upgrade to something of more quality. I read the reviews and watched videos on this product before purchasing. I’m so happy with this product! The quality is unmatched for the price point, which I consider affordable. It is a sleek matte cream color which is esthetically appealing. The digital options and there are plenty of options, are easy to use and navigate to your desired meal. The inside cooker is of good quality with measurements inscribed. It also comes with a measuring cup and rice mixer/fluffer. The cord is also removable, which is great for storing away and not having chords be tangled. I truly enjoy this product and I am so happy that I purchased it. I use it regularly for dinners. I would highly recommend to anybody who is looking for a great rice cooker that also looks nice in your kitchen. This is it. Read more

This is my second rice cooker. The first one cooked rice at half the time but continue to burn the rice if I allowed it to sit. This rice cooker is sleek and holds the temp well after cooking rice but it takes a long time. I cook jasmine rice often and the recommended time on the bag is doubled in this cooker. The result is worth it though. Plan accordingly. Read more

The media could not be loaded. I am picky about rice cookers. At the same time I bought Narcissus, I’ve also bought Bear Mini and Green Leaf. I used same type of rice and cooked one cup in each of these 3 mini rice cookers as instructed and ruled out Bear Mini ($4 less) because the rice was undercooked. I ruled out Green Leaf (ceramic non-stick pot) because Narcissus is more versatile and have the option to yield more rice for similar kitchen space footprint in case I have guests. 2 years ago I bought an instant carb-reduced rice cooker (8-10 cups) but it never worked as intended as I had to recook the rice many times before it’s properly done. If I have a choice of giving 4.5 stars for Narcissus I would simply because I prefer ceramic pot and non-plastic steamer but for its value, quality of rice and porridge, versatility, and time needed to complete tasks, I opted for 5 stars over 4. I LOVE this cooker. I didn’t even know when I ordered it that it could also steam and be used as a slow cooker. I’m definitely going to try the slow cooker setting this weekend. There’s a specific dish I like that my kids don’t like so this is a good size to make enough just for myself instead of getting out the big crockpot. I’ve only used it once so far because I just got it. I made a rice mixture that contains brown rice, quinoa, and lentils. It came out perfectly. I put in the brown rice, the quinoa, the lentils, water, chicken, bouillon, and seasonings that I like. I cooked it on the brown rice setting. Everything cooked nicely. No leaking anywhere. Nothing stuck to the bottom. It’s really, really easy to use. It’s very easy to clean. I love that you can see the timer on it and that it beeps when it’s done and automatically goes to warm. I like the design of it. It looks great in my kitchen because the color matches my other small appliances perfectly. I’m going to get another one for my daughter. She just recently moved into her own place and has a basic rice cooker, and I think she’d really like this one. Rice always sticks to the bottom of hers and it doesn’t have settings on it like this one does. Great price for this thing. Read more

Great little rice cooker! I bought this for white rice, which we use a lot of. I followed the instructions to the letter and the rice turned out good, but a little undercooked for our taste, so subsequently I added a small amount of water to the recommended amount for 2 cups of rice increasing it with each batch cooked, until reaching the desired tenderness. This proved to be 1/2 cup additional water, which cooks rice perfect for us. I like how easy the cooker is to use and clean-up is quick. We've experienced no boil-overs. Much better than several microwave cookers we've tried. No monitoring required as with a pan on the stovetop. I highly recommend this cooker! Read more
