This Native brand sunscreen is a perfectly adequate product for those who want to catch a few rays safely. Its 30 SPF is strong enough to allow hours in the sun with some "lite" tanning. Use this judiciously and you're neither blocking the sun's effects entirely nor dangerously exposing your skin. Its only active ingredient is zinc oxide, the same chemical life guards have coated their noses with forever. So it's tried and true. Although you can choose the pear and coconut water scented version, the one I got is blessedly unscented. You can feel it on your skin, but you're not forced to breath any chemical aroma. At $20, it's slightly on the pricey side, but not bad. My one big question about it is why the heck is it in a spray bottle? This is not a spray. This is a cream. Dispense it into your hand so you can rub it on your skin. Personally I prefer creams because they give better coverage, but a cream should either be manually poured from the bottle or dispensed through a downward-pointing spout. The first time I pressed the "spray" head, cream shot straight out and got all over everything nearby. Very dumb system. Good, tried-and-true product, though. Read more
Why bother putting this in a spray bottle when it squirts out so thick you still have to rub it on with your hands? If you are looking for a fine mist spray like I was, this is not the product for you. Read more
I've never tried "Native" brand sunscreen, but I am as pleased with this product as I am with the sunscreen I've loyally been using for many years. The pump sprayer works great and it dries quickly with a very pleasant scent. It hasn't been too brutal here (80's) so I can't comment on the protection power in really brutal sun conditions, but it's worked great for me on my morning walks, and I haven't gotten even slightly burned. Great sunscreen product in my opinion. Read more

This is definitely NOT one of Native's better products. I really liked their deodorants and have seen their brand show up multiple times when browsing online so I had high hopes for the product. The sunscreen itself is aggressively mediocre. It feels like your run of the mill standard drugstore sunscreen, which I guess isn't the worst? It is usable. The formula is a little on the waterier side, which I actually enjoy because it won't leave as much of a greasy feeling. This sunscreen also wasn't that greasy, which is a big pro for me (especially since it is a mineral sunscreen). However, it does not smell good at all!! I got the unscented one and I didn't even expect it to be fully unscented but it has a decently strong artificial and plasticky smell :( It did disappear after a little though! The packaging is terrible for this product though, I don't understand why they put it in a spray bottle when it just squirts out like a normal lotion. It is too thick and heavy to be actually sprayed on. The way the packaging is created too, makes the spray very hard to press down on so it just plops out a little bit at a time. Read more
Man, I love Native products so when I saw this, I had to grab it. The smell!! Oh my goodness, it smells so good, just like a beach vacation. I also really like the way it feels on my skin, and it leaves a really nice glow. It is a mineral sunscreen and that can leave a white cast on some darker skin tones. I have medium olive skin, and I haven't noticed any white cast if that helps. The size of the bottle is generous. Because it is a spray sunscreen, I did expect the mist to be finer than it is. It comes out in a few small streams, and you do need to rub it in. It does not come out in a fine mist like an aerosol can. That doesn't bother me at all though. It did a great job protecting me from the sun yesterday and as stated earlier, the small is delightful! Read more

This mineral SPF 30 has been such a pleasant surprise. The pear and coconut water scent is light and fresh, noticeable but soft, and it does not irritate my skin at all. It rubs in quickly and feels more like a hydrating lotion than a typical sunscreen. Rubbing it in takes only seconds which I appreciate and it isnt greasy or tacky. It leaves my skin looking dewy with a subtle sparkle in the sunlight that gives a really pretty, radiant glow. It does not leave a heavy or chalky white cast on my skin. The non-aerosol pump makes application easy and controlled without feeling messy. My skin feels nourished and comfortable when wearing it. I am planning to use this all summer and will update after more consistent wear, but so far I am really enjoying it. Read more
