I used this soap a few times and the lather felt smooth and not drying at all. It rinsed clean and left my skin feeling soft which surprised me for a turmeric based bar. The scent leaned more earthy than citrus which I did not love personally but the quality of the soap itself was solid. It worked well on both hands and body. It was easy to use like any regular bar soap. It did not break apart or get mushy in the shower which is something I pay attention to with natural soaps. The bars held their shape and the texture felt nice on the skin. At $29 for two bars this definitely felt pricey. They look nice in a gift box and the ingredients are good but I do not think I would buy it at full price for myself. As a gift set it makes more sense than daily use. Read more

There are two bars of soap, individually wrapped, each with its own white mesh bag. The soap is meant to be used in the mesh bag, which gives better exfoliation and creates more lather. They come nestled in a faux-velvet gift box with a colorful bow. One of the listing photos is a bit misleading, as there are only 2 bars of soap, not 4 as shown. It's a bit pricey for 2 bars of soap; you're paying for the pretty packaging. There is some discrepancy in the listing as to all the ingredients. My box did not come with a list of ingredients, only the two bars of soap wrapped in brown paper with a label, each with its own white mesh bag inside the wrapping. So I'm not sure exactly what is supposed to be in this soap. The listing shows different ingredients in different places: Vitamin C, Retinol, Shea Butter, Kojic Acid, Hyaluronic Acid, Collagen, Turmeric, Coconut Oil, Vitamin E, Frankincense Oil, Castile Olive Oil, Lemon Extract, and there's a photo of some certificate for "Turmeric lemon granules soap" but no link to the certificate. The lemon scent smells synthetic, despite the "natural" claims. The photo claiming hyperpigmentation and acne scar removal is, frankly, unbelievable. This is an OK soap. There are other Turmeric & Lemon Soaps on Amazon that are much less expensive. Read more
I usually prefer liquid-based face washes as I find a lot them to be gentler than soap-based ones, but I wanted to try this turmeric and lemon soap to see if it’s gentle enough. MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE PRODUCT 1. They come in a nice red box. 2. There are 2 soap bars, and I think that they are ok in relation to value when comparing them to other turmeric bar soaps. 3. They are very fragrant. Very citrusy. However, the scent doesn’t last very long which I think is very good because I prefer lightly-scented to fragrance-free skincare products. 4. It takes a few seconds when I try to create lather on my hands, which is longer than most bar soaps. I suppose it could mean that I’m using more soap than normal. 5. They lather okay on my face. 6. I find them easy to rinse off. 7. I get some skin tightness after using them, but that’s pretty normal for me since I have dry sensitive skin. 8. I suppose they would be good for those who have the same skin type as I do. 9. They do a very good job making me feel like my skin is very clean. OVERALL IMPRESSION: While they are very fragrant, I feel that they are cost-effective and worth their value because my skin feels very clean every time I use them. Read more
The first thing I noticed when I opened the box was the very strong, earthy smell of turmeric. It lathers up really nicely though, and doesn't leave my skin feeling tight or stripped like some bars of soap do. I've been using it on my face for about a week to see if it helps with occasional breakouts, and my skin does feel clean and soft afterwards. I just wish the lemon scent was a bit more forward to balance out that strong turmeric note. Overall, it's a good quality soap, but you really have to be a fan of that natural, spicy scent to love it. Read more
at $29 for 2 bars of soap, and each bar being about 3 ounces? even factoring in the pretty little velvety gift box... this is not a good value. i mean, that's a tiny bit higher than Lush, but at least these come wrapped. the brown paper? it is sorta like parchment paper, but glossy. lovely to touch. there is a distinct Pledge-y-ness about the lemon/woodry scent of this soap but the longer i had it open, the longer i smelled it, the more i liked it. do i believe that this will even skin tone, prevent acne, hydrate the skin, and/or remove dark spots? nope. do i believe it is a nice soap that does what soap should do, which is make skin cleaner? yep. there was nothing holding the outer gift box closed. the bow is not functional, it slips through an opening in the top of the box. and the box is an odd size. like it was meant for larger bars, or more bars of a smaller size. This turmeric soap is fine. It is nothing special compared to everything else on the market. The little granules are nice for exfoliation but they're concentrated on one side of the soap, which is unfortunate as they'd ideally be evenly spread through the entire bar if it was well designed and thought-out. The scent is also not too bad, which is good considering a lot of these turmeric soap bars don't smell great. I like that it comes with holder bags and a nice decorative velvet container though. Could make a nice gift. Read more
I’m not sure if the fancier packaging can justify the expensive price on these artisan soaps but the quality is decent. The soap smells pleasant and my skin feels soft afterwards, at least I didn’t experience any negative reactions. Read more
