Natures Miracle Set-In Stain Destroyer 1 Gallon For Cat Messes Oxy Formula With Orange Scent

I've been using this for about.a year and a half and it works great. I have an older cat that pees on my bed sometimes. I've tried waterproof blankets / bedspreads, etc. and this is still the best option I've found. It is only a light orange scent but it seems to do the job. For more than a year I had a memory foam mattress topper, and this stuff worked great at neutralizing the odors to the point that I'm still using the same topper. Can't smell anything -- even close up. Same on my new bed and using a thick comforter that she's wet a few times. With that one, I spray it as soon as I discover she's wet the bed, and then wash it when I can get around to it -- typically a fews days later. Does a great job of eliminating or pretty close to eliminating the odors. Before I started using this product I was seriously considering perhaps having to put my 16 (now 17) year old cat to sleep. This stuff really works for me and my home. The house always smells fresh and we always have at least a gallon lying around. I have two cats and the eldest whom is 13 years old, has been having a problem going #1 in her litter box. This has been a ongoing problem for at least 4 years. I tried steam cleaning, rug oder remover and Fabreeze; nothing seemed to work. In the last year I heard about the Nature's Miracle product through an online source so I immediately ran to the pet store and purchased a bottle of the Original Formula for Cats. Upon the first application, I thought the smell was great and I was so shocked how the solution pulled up the urine stains only 5 minutes after applying. I also used the solution sparingly at first because I thought that it was kind of pricey. Now, I think the product is worth every cent, and I use it more liberally so that it really soaks into the carpet and padding underneath. I will sometimes apply a second dose and let it set for 15 minutes or more. Then I use paper towels to mop it up. I used to use rags but I went through too many and they get wet quickly. I hated having to wash and wait for the rags to dry while I was in the process of cleaning the carpet. I know that paper towels can get pricey too but I'm okay with it since I'd do just about anything to get the urine and smell up before I have company. After placing sheets of paper towel on carpet, I then walk on the sheets to dry the carpet areas and to get the liquid to soak into the paper towels. Whenever I use a second application of Nature's Miracle, I usually have to lay two layers down to soak up all the liquids and I leave it that way for about a half or whole day. Then I simply pick up the paper towels and throw them away. Depending on how much solution I use and what time of year it is (or how cold or hot my home is), it may take a day or two to dry. I highly recommend this product for anyone that has pet stains they want to get rid of. I've actually used it for human stains on a bed once and then used fans to dry the mattress. I used the Original smelling formula for about 6 months, but it occasionally caused headaches because the smell was so strong. I've now switched to the orange formula which is much better for me but I also recommend trying the original formula at least once to see if you like the smell. I put this in my carpet shampooer and used it to clean the carpets in my house. Not sure if that’s the right way, but that was my way and it worked. It took out the stains and the smells. I also mixed up a bottle of it and sprayed my front and back porch where the neighborhood feral cats have marked it. The stuff works really well. Read more

Does a decent job on fresher stains, but long standing stains (that can only be seen with UV light) it doesn't seem to do much. This isn't really a knock. I am using it to clean cat puke from carpet which, even when cleaned with wet rag, still leaves "stuff" behind that you can't necessarily see. Does well on urine as well. There is one other product that works better, but is also MUCH more expensive. This is a good value option, and the orange scent is very pleasant. Read more

This is the only thing that works with cat pee! Takes out the ammonia smell and bubbles up! Crazy because where my cats peed on the tile, they I’ve used bleach and it still didn’t work, used this after the bleach and it bubbled up exactly where the pee was and haven’t had a problem ever since! I have been having behavior problems with my inside cats for the past 6 months with visitors outside marking territory (feral cats) and visitors inside having accidents. I could not stop the bad behavior my cats were displaying, (spraying, hiding, fighting) that had cropped up in the past 6 months. I bought a black light and was absolutely disgusted at my carpet. What I saw was invisible to the eye, but when you shine the black light on it, WOW!!! Walls, curtains and especially carpets were an absolute mess. I ordered this wishing it was the size of a drum but thought I would put it into a pump sprayer and do the walls and floors where I saw a stain with the black light. I followed the instructions and waited about 15 minutes and then I cleaned the walls and shampooed part of the carpet so I could see if there was a difference. The next day I put the black light on the areas again, and there was absolutely no difference in what the stains looked like in the treated area and the area not treated. There may be a difference in how it smells but truthfully it did not smell beforehand (that I noticed) until I put my nose to it. It does not smell, but my sense of smell is about 2% of what a cats sense of smell is. I have no idea if it works or not. It did clean the walls of urine and that I did notice with the black light.
