I am very picky when it comes to vitamin c. I have used the ones with droppers that I don't like. I have used thick ones that limit how many layers of other things you can use. This one is a light emulsion that soaks in the skin perfectly. My skin has smoothed out so much since I started using this and their retinal serum. My little bumps have diminished. I am so happy I found this affordable brand. And it was on sale! I will say, I think I will go through it much faster than the retinal and that disappoints me. Edit: I sadly had to stop using this due to me out of nowhere developing symptoms of rosecea and apparently rosacea tolerates serums with low levels L. Ascorbic acid the best (although EVERY person is different. Niacinamide is supposed to be great for rosecea but I can't tolerate the ordinary's.). I do agree with other reviews that this was great for the price point so if you can't afford skin ceuticals like most of us, this was great while I was able to use it. It is so hard to balance one you like that has great texture and results. Not to mention affordability! I still recommend for anyone on a budget and anyone who doesn't have skin issues like me. Ordered several times. Although I prefer a much more expensive and stronger vitamin C, this one is ALMOST the same; and less harsh. It has a few ingredients that I’m not as keen on. However I formulate skin care and makeup for brands for a living lol; so I’m kinda picky in this department! This one is outstanding though and definitely feels much more expensive than the actual cost. It helps in so many areas as far as improving skin tone, dark spots, and more. There’s no real scent and I appreciate that very much as adding scents is very unnecessary and honestly not good for the skin. It’s not sticky, but it is a thicker consistency than some on the market. This has pros and cons. Pros, great for night time use. It really stays on the skin (especially locked in under a moisturizer.) Cons to a thicker consistency is it’s a little too thick for daytime use (I use a completely different one for day time.) All in all I’ll continue this in my rotation as I switch products from time to time so the skin doesn’t get too comfortable with that particular product. For instance, I’ll use this one every other night. However I use a much stronger one when I’m not using this one at night. That gives the skin a little room to breathe. All in all, I think it would be perfect for someone starting out with vitamin C that’s above the age of 21 (it may be too strong for someone with younger than 21 year old skin unless you’ve had extensive acne scarring and you have used a strong vitamin C and other strong products. Younger people are starting very strong (and not necessarily good for them) skin care much too young. We’re currently doing studies on this. But, what we’re seeing is by the time they are older, their skin won’t react the same to appropriate skin care and they could actually show signs of aging. Sunscreen, cleansing, moisturizer. I started using this serum in April 2025, a few months after giving birth to my first baby. Postpartum completely changed my skin. It was less radiant, more dull, and the products that used to work for me no longer did. I went to a dermatologist who recommended I start incorporating vitamin C and retinol. I was nervous to try retinol right away since I’d never used either, so I decided to start with vitamin C first. After reading reviews, I chose the Naturium Vitamin C Complex. I’ve used this mostly in the mornings, not always daily but very consistently since April. Within about one month, I started noticing a difference without changing anything else in my routine. My skin looked brighter, more even-toned, and less dull overall. It just looked healthier. I’m 33 years old with normal-to-dry skin (not oily), and I experienced no breakouts, irritation, or sensitivity. The formula feels hydrating and layers well under moisturizer and sunscreen, which I appreciate since my skin tends to be on the drier side.
