Parlezvous Beauté—December 11, 2025
This Nautica Urban SP600 speaker has been such a great addition for us by the pool. It looks stylish and fashionable, which is something I really appreciate about Nautica products in general. We own quite a few of their items—both in fashion and home—and this speaker fits right in with that same clean, classic look. The size is perfect for outdoor use, not too bulky but substantial enough to feel durable. It pairs easily with Bluetooth and has worked exactly as described. The sound quality is solid for its size, and it’s splash-proof, which makes it ideal for poolside or backyard use. We’ve already used it several times and it’s been reliable every time. Overall, I love the way it looks and performs. It’s stylish enough to leave out when entertaining, and practical enough to take along for camping or travel. Nautica has always been a brand we trust, and this speaker is another example of why. Highly recommend! Read more

Let me immediately set the expectations. I use the SONOS ROAM speakers as my go-to portable speakers. These are $180 speakers, which is four times the price of this speaker. So my comparison is based on a product that positions itself much more premium—keep that in mind. This speaker is not bad, but has its limitations. Let me start with the good: It charges pretty fast, the sound is clear and powerful, and it is lightweight. Even compared to the much smaller ROAM, it is lighter and easier to carry around. The design is nice, but nothing spectacular. I do wonder why a fashion brand like Nautica would license speakers or any non-clothing products—but they probably do because other brands do the same thing. But this means you will get a relatively large logo plaque on the speaker. I used this speaker while working outside around the house, and it can go loud, loud enough to handle itself around hammering and sawing noises pretty well. Compared to the other speakers I use, the manufacturer's claim of 'booming bass' is, well, quite overpromised. There is barely any bass heard. Again, it is not bad, but in a time when people have headphones and earpods with excellent base experiences, this claim will get people disappointed. Another thing that is not essential but feels underperforming is the LED lighting. I have seen speakers in this price category that feel 'smoother'. The LED on this speaker is flickering and feels very nervous. It is not very bad, but compared to the competition, this could be better. But if you use this speaker to have music with you while you are outside, for background, or to accompany you while doing other things, this speaker does pretty well. I am not unhappy with it. It just doesn't live up to the claims of the manufacturer about sound quality - BUT - keep in mind, this is a (at the time of writing) $45 speaker. It performs pretty well for that price point. I take it with me when I keep working outside while prepping the house for winter - and I am happy doing so. The manufacturer claims this speaker is splash-proof IP5, which means you can use it in the rain - but read up on the IP5 rating before doing so. Read more

First thing about this speaker that caught my eye was the "splash-proof" in the listing. I have been looking for a speaker for our tandem kayak for the more tranquil trips. This item will likely not be going on those trips, unfortunately. The speaker itself is a vibrant color and very light weight. I have two other brands of bluetooth speakers in similar formats and those others are easily 3x or more the weight of this one. The sound is mediocre at best, and the bass is underwhelming. The volume is much too low to be heard above water noise (lake, river, etc.), and the outer cover is a mesh type of fabric. I don't see how this can be splash-proof. I might test that theory, however, the next chance I get. The neon lights are my favorite feature. They seem to keep the beat, and I believe you can also sync multiples of this speaker together which is a cool feature. The absolute worst thing about this speaker is the lack of any useful documentation. There are buttons on the end of the speaker and nothing on the box nor inside it to tell you what they are used for (and some do multiple functions, if you do one vs two clicks. I am still not certain I have learned all the functions. I would say this speaker is a little pricey for what you get. Read more

This is a great speaker for teens. It's easy to carry to a friend's house and it provides a clear non-tinny sound like other small Bluetooth speakers. The lights are a nice feature and it's mainly approved by my teens because it's Nautica brand. Read more
