These lights gave a much needed update to our room. We didn't have any issue with installation as others have, mostly because I read reviews and followed their tips. We found that the shade does not need to hang off the light tray as you do the wiring - if you're careful and patient it will pop up over the edge after the light tray is installed and still be very secure. We were able to get the bottom plastic diffuser to drop into place by lightly tapping around the shade, but were prepared to use the sticky side of tape to pull it down if needed. Very contemporary and subtle at the same time. Great brightness. Good size. Install isn’t as easy as some other fixtures because you have to put the shade on first but still not an overwhelming issue. Also wish they’d sell the remote control with the version that doesn’t have stars in the shade. Other than that I love it and have bought 4 of them! Read more

The lamp looks nice, but it's not what described. The listing said the lamp was controlled by a remote, but there was no remote included. Even the box says a remote is included, but that's not the case. I ordered two of them and both were missing the remote. Read more

The body of these fixtures were easy to install, but the bottom cover, the part that is parallel to the floor, is hard to seat properly without leaving a gap. Installation tip my son figured out: use your vacuum cleaner hose to suck the edges of the cover down after you insert it so it sits flat. Read more

I installed this by myself in 12 minutes. Yes, I timed it. I’m not an electrician or even particularly handy. Maybe I am handy now! I installed two other different lights from Amazon recently that were nightmares, so this was wonderful. There are only 3 parts (see first pic). I may be the only one that didn’t realize the bulbs were built into the light. I don’t know how long it will last, so we’ll see. Helpful tips. Hook up the white, black and ground wires. Shove them up into the electrical box so the metal light will lay flush to the ceiling. The hardest part for me was standing tippy toed on the top step of my ladder at the very stop of my stairs to see where the screw needed to go. It’s hard to line up the first screw. I screwed that in just a little and then put the shade on. You have to tilt the shade to get it on. Then I screwed it in all the way. I only needed one screw for a solid connection to the ceiling. It’s a very lightweight fixture. I then placed the plastic privacy piece in. It is bendable and wasn’t an issue at all. Others have said it was hard to get down to lay flat. Mine wasn’t. It can easily be pushed up, tilted over and pulled out if needed. The light is brighter than I’d like. It says 2700k which is warm white. I prefer warm white light, so that’s good. It’s not that sterile, “blue cool light”. This is brighter than the “boob light” that was there before, so I just have to get used to it. I’d buy this again! Read more

As soon as it was installed the fixture blinked off and on like a strobe. And there is no repair for this. It needs to be replaced. Because it sat unopened in a box for 5 months until the electrician came to install it, I'm beyond Amazon's allowed date for any remedy. I've exchanged $62 for something I have to throw in the trash. Who's fault is this? Navaris for producing a defective product? Amazon for an impenetrable system for dealing with complaints? Mine for not getting an electrician to my house within the 2 month limit? Read more

Some reviews found this difficult to install, but we didn’t have that problem. Definitely follow the instructions as you have to put the cylinder on the base before install. The hardest part for us was getting the light filter to lay flat, but it ended up flattening out on its own after a few hours. We had the “boob light” before and this is definitely a great upgrade, especially for the price! Read more
