Easy assembly when you lay out all the parts first. I noticed there was a mistake and I received one part too many on F and one too few on part E. I contacted the seller and within 3 days they sent me a whole new bed frame. I wanted to use my Box Springs and the seller said it could be done. From the floor to the top of the mattress is 32 inches. I am 5'11" so this is doable for me. I had 12 inch zip ties and I secured the Box Springs to the frame, I doubled up on the zip ties to make it more secure. . I did this because of the reviews that stated that their mattress moved around on them. I put the Box Springs on the slats with on problems. In other reviews they stated that the slats broke. I didn't have that issue. I put the first bed frame together and waited for the missing E part, so when it came I could quickly get it together. The clearance under the bed says its 12 1/2 inches but with carpet its more like 12 inches. The bed frames seems to be solid and sturdy. I purchased the King size frame. The seller was very quick to get back to me. I sent a message and within 2 hours I had the issue resolved. I will update this review if anything changes. I had a very good experience with the seller. This bed frame is really nice, but what's even nicer is the sellers. Putting the bed frame together was simple and straightforward, but it did take some time. Once I got it together, I was surprise with how tall it was. I put my new foam mattress on it with no issues. I slept on it one night and it did slide a little, but not much. However, the next day I got onto my bed knee first directly on one of the wood slats and it broke. Not all the way through, but about halfway through. I was a little bummed out, but I was afraid that was going to happen since I'm a little bigger. I requested a refund and a return and took it apart. It was very fast and easy taking it apart. I got approved for the return and the sellers called me and asked me about what happened. I told them I was just going to return it. They then called me back because they've never had this appen before since it's suppose to hold 1000 pounds. They gave me a refund and said they were going to send me some replacement parts. The parts came quick. I was expecting to get one wood slat, but they ended up giving me all the parts except the metal pieces. I was shocked at how many pieces they sent over! The sellers are super nice and helpful. I ended up getting a new bed frame that's all metal, but I'm going to keep this one for when I move out or if there is someone else I can give it to. It was very easy to assemble. I am very large and out of shape and I was able to put together by myself. I was worried when I saw the slats that it was not going to hold up even for a few minutes. Plus they were a little bowed when I took them out of the package. However once I got it assembled and put my mattress on it I quickly laid down to distribute my weight and it held up without any issues. I rolled from one side to another and still no issues. I then set up on one side of the bed and bounced up and down and no issues. It did make my mattress seem firmer than normal, more so in the center of the bed where the center bar is running but I can tell the sides are firmer as well. My daughter and her pitbull came and got in my bed half way through the first night and it still held up without any issues. Day two I am noticing some squeaking from it but it is still holding up. I will update again after a week if I notice anything else. I am very happy with the quality though and the space under my bed cept the dog thinks that is for him and keeps crawling under there. Was surprised by the smaller box for a queen size platform frame. All the pieces were beautifully packaged and included. Instructions were brief but very effective. Where to begin... For starters, this item took an unnecessarily long amount of time to assemble simply due to the fact that the instructions had a total of about 5 words in the entire pamphlet, making you feel more like a Boy Scout trying to earn a badge in assembling and crafting, rather than someone who simply wants to sleep comfortably at night. Once you actually figure out how to put everything together, you feel a rush of joy and accomplishment and decide to take a nap on your new frame to reward yourself...and then you hear the creaking. If you have ever been on "Ghost Rider" at Knott's Berry Farm, the sound is not too far off the mark. Fear and uncertainty regarding the strength of this product will keep you up at night, afraid that the wood beams will snap any minute. Then, after about a week of using the product, you will begin to develop a sense of trust and feel as though your doubts were misguided...until you hear the beautiful sound of the wooden beams sliding out of their positions and onto the floor. Then, naturally, because the frame has less support, the beams that struggled to stay in position are now struggling to hold up more pressure themselves. This lasts for all of five minutes before the remaining boards start breaking in half. TLDR: Took forever to assemble, wood beams provide no support. Weight limit is not accurate. Read more
