I find myself needing help threading a needle these days, and this looked to be a great way to accomplish that. The concept is great, but the hook you pull the thread through the needle with is so tiny, you can barely see it. I also find it a bit awkward to hold onto the thread to pull it through the eye of the needle; but I feel that is more just a matter of getting used to using this needle threader. The part of the pin that has a little hook that sticks up which you use to pull the thread through is so tiny, it’s almost impossible to see. When I say tiny, I mean TINY! I have to use my finger to feel it. If you have vision problems, I’d have to honestly say that you might want to pass on this one. I’ve always used the type of needle threaders that have a wire loop that you put the thread through & then pull it through the needle are much easier to use. Guess I’ll just stick with those. I’m disappointed this didn’t work well for me; but on the plus side of things you get a lot (12) in a nice little plastic box. Read more

Works great for different size needles. Use suiltable weight thread or the hook will break. Thread only not suitable for yarn Read more

These are really nice. They are easy to hold and use. No flexible end that requires more threading in order to slid the threads through the eye of the needle. For those that cross stitch or embroidery with more than two strands of floss, be careful to capture all the strands as the hook is tiny and wants to only pull two strands through. So I do wish the hook was a bit bigger, but once you practice enough it can be done. Having the carrying case is nice. It isn’t a thin case that will break with just a couple of uses either, like the threaders, it will hold up for awhile. Great purchase with only one flaw. Read more

very helpful for threading when sewing-rather than struggling with frustrating needle and thread by hand, even with glasses on. Read more

I suppose I should’ve read the reviews more carefully. This is completely useless. It shreds the thread and is very difficult to use. I kid you not— it took me 25 minutes to thread my needle. And, if you have coordination issues or any stiffness in your joints? It would be impossible to use. I managed to thread my needle and inside of about 1 minute, the thread broke right at the place the blasted little hook had snagged it. Totally worthless. Frustratingly so. Read more

The tool is too wide for a standard weight sewing machine needle but it works fine for a hand held needle. Read more

I have a long-time hatred for needle threaders, but I have always had to use them because of my crazy eyesight. The best kind to use to thread my Kenmores (which thread front to back) is the kind you pull the thread across a plastic piece then push that piece against the eye of the needle. A metal strip pops into the eye of the needle and pushes the thread through. But the metal piece inevitably gets bent up and the thing become useless after a time. This is so much better! I put my finger on the eye of the needle to know where to aim, push the hook end through, wrap the thread under the hook and pull it right through. I was able to thread my vintage Singer almost instantaneously using this method. I was prepared to have to bend the metal end to thread my Kenmores as I read in one of the reviews, but I tried pushing the hook through from the back first. Easy peasy, and I can thread all my sewing machines in a few seconds. Read more
