I bought this 22" magic arm with a desk clamp to hold my phone and small camera for overhead video work, and it’s performed great. The build quality feels solid, with smooth articulation and a clamp that holds tightly to the desk without wobbling. The arm adjusts easily to different angles and stays in place once tightened, which makes it reliable for filming crafts, streaming, or recording tutorials. It also works well with lightweight lights or microphones thanks to the multiple thread options. The only small drawback is that adjusting all the joints takes a bit of trial and error at first, but once you get used to it, setup is quick. Overall, it’s a versatile, well-built mount that’s perfect for overhead recording or multipurpose desk setups. Read more

Love this setup for doing top down photography as well as timelapse photography for my 3d printer. The stand mounts easily to my desk using the included clamp and is secure and very stable. The adjustable length allows me to get my light up high to help diffuse it while the horizontal arm can be mounted anywhere on the vertical giving you full versatility in your shots. This system works great and is a good value. Read more

This is a well-made clamp stand for both a vertical and horizontal rig. The vertical arm holds plenty of weight and the horizontal cross bar holds a Sony ZV-E10 ii and ZV-E1 with cages, prime lenses, and quick release plates with no issue. The cross bar is 12” at its shortest length so to have the shot centered, use at least a 24” wide top. I use this in a shop/studio when I want to do a quick shorts-style video and don’t want to set up the full studio and overhead mount rig. My only Con is that the cross bar only attaches to the thinnest top pole and not the mid-pole. *One pic added to show that the middle pole section is too big for the clamp fully extended. This makes it a little less secure when extended horizontally and causes line of site issues if you want to film a top down and talking head shot using the vertical mount. For either a quick talking head or a top down video with a phone or camera, this will work great. Read more

The media could not be loaded. Context: I've been shooting amateur video since I was 14. I bought my first Kodak video camera with my very first paycheck in 2000 or 2001 ish. So yea, I've had a lot of time to try out products, and I'm happy to say... This one is 5 stars! Why? Well, the reasons it's great: 1 - ROCK SOLID. Large flat clamping point with more than enough surface area. 2 - High leverage locking lever. You will probably break your arm before you could stop tightening this thing. 3 - The ball head is high quality, also with plenty of surface area 4 - The telescoping function is super smooth and easy to lock and unlock. 5 - It's an overall super well made and well thought out product. 6 - I'd trust any reasonable weighted rig on this all day long. 7 - Comes with 1/4 and smart phone clamp mount. 8 - Comes with TWO of those mounting points, so you can add a light to the vertical mount and camera to horizontal. Sweet! Cons Well, it's really nitpicking on this one, but let's try it on for size. 1 - The 1/4 thread mount doesn't have a spring loaded 3/8 sleeve, as in what you get with some ifootage products. I really think that should be standard, and I'd be more than willing to pay the slight increase in cost, simply to save the massive headache of finding, losing, and re-buying, and re-losing 1/4 to 3/8 adapters or adapters of any kind. 2 - The vertical tube clamp is for tubes only, no flat clamp. But really, so what? It's designed to go with this product. You lose out on ability to Jerry-rig the parts with something else. But again, so what? 3 - Storage is a slight hassle, if you're ocd like me. To store it, you can either leave the vertical clamp on, and it takes up more space... or... you can take the clamp off, and risk misplacing it. Maybe just use a rubber band to keep it organized, if you're so incline. The right angle taking up storage space is a very minor thing and I can't think of a practical or even physically possible solution, so no fault of the company there. There. I tried to find some cons. I have tried a similar versions of this product from a competitor, and I definitely prefer this one. Of the two, the other one is in storage, and this one gets used! Don't think of trying it, just get started buying it! You'll be so glad you did. Read more
