Great USB charger for powering USB devices while the outlet is behind furniture! Since the USB ports point down instead of out, installing this behind a dresser or shelf is a breeze. It allows you to utilize those otherwise useless outlets where there is no space behind something. It is a great price and provides enough power to get the job done. I would definitely buy more. Works great after I removed the ground post
Works well, although I did need it to fit into the socket in the "other" orientation. I was surprised that it came with a ground post - no other USB charger I've owned has one. Since I needed to plug it in the other way, I decided to remove the ground lug - yes, there was a chance that the polarity of the plug (neutral/hot) is important, but worth the risk to me. In cutting it off I found that it is not connected - simply pressed into the plastic body. Works fine the "wrong" polarity. And looking at the listing again I see it does show the ground post and notes that it is not connected. Read more
