I typically wear a women's 8.5 and bought these in a size 9; they fit fantastically and are SO comfortable. The sole has great grip, too. I specifically bought them because another reviewer mentioned that they fit big legs; she was right!!! My calves are very large and muscular and it didn't matter at all. The tongue on this boot is cleverly designed so that there's a gusset/extra fabric sewn in on both sides of the tongue. I'll attach a picture so you can see what I mean This means that those of us that need extra room can get it without sacrificing the waterproofness of the boot; if you don't need all the room, it folds back unnoticeably inside. I wasn’t sure just by looking whether these boots would fit my big legs. I always look for reviews from big legged women, and I didn’t find any, so I’m going to review these for the big legged women! These boots are wonderful. I normally order a size 10 in boots when I wear a 9 to 9.5 to make room for thicker socks. I can totally wear thicker socks, add a nice insole and still get the edges to overlap the tongue to tie these boots. So if you’re wondering if they will fit your big legs, they probably will if you just size up a half size or so. I would say without the added insole these may not be the most comfortable. WITH the insole, they are wonderful. I have been wearing them for the past several days to work. There has been snow, slush, ice and water. They did not get wet inside, and they are great all day for comfort. I would recommend these boots WITH an added orthopedic insole if you’re worried about comfort. Read more
