This is my second purchase of this ball. The last one lasted six months with my avid chewer Chiwawa. The ball is very durable with thick plastic. Despite the thickness, it sqeeks with each bite. He never was able to tear the ball apart, just was able to damage the squeeker. Of all the balls I have purchased, and trust me, I've spent a ton, this has been the best most durable ball I have had. I have a German Shepard/Mastiff mix 104 lb puppy who can destroy anything in minutes to get to the "hidden" squeaky prize. Anything except this ball. She LOVES this thing and we are going on 2 months of daily play with it and not even a nick out of it. She is obsessed with it almost to the point we have to hide it from her so we can watch a movie peacefully. lol She will play catch all day if she could.
