Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Body Mist Sunscreen Spray Broad Spectrum SPF 45 Lightweight Spray Sunscreen Non-Greasy Water Resistant Oil-Free

This Neutrogena sunscreen comes in a two-pack aerosol spray. Each can is five ounces, and the sunscreen is SPF 45. I like sunscreen sprays because they are more convenient for covering large surface areas and also easier to apply to oneself in difficult to reach areas. These cans are used by turning the top, which was not really safety-sealed on arrival, until the spray nozzle is visualized. The top is then depressed to release the spray. I find that the spray goes on very wet and heavy, and not as a fine mist. It tends to leave a large wet area on the skin which can then be spread around to complete the coverage. The scent is on the stronger side, and is somewhat floral with a background of what could be described as “seabreeze.” While I appreciate the lack of Oxybenzone and Octinoxate in the ingredients, it does have other active ingredients that can disrupt coral growth, such as Octocrylene. Therefore, I will not be using this sunscreen on my snorkeling trips. The SPF of 45 is a good strength for basic sunscreen, and can be reapplied as frequently as needed. The price is reasonable for the quantity provided. Although the winter is approaching and I do not have a current need for daily sunscreen, the Expiration Date of 11/2026 ensures that I will be able to use it through the next summer. Read more

I got these primarily for upcoming beach vacation, as it is a mix of a quality name, brand, high SPF, twin pack so a good value, spray, and very easy to apply on both adults and kids, and that it provides 80 minutes of water resistance. We tried it here at home for a day out hiking, and as expected, it provided easy and broad coverage based on the spray, and did a good job protecting us while out for about 1.5 hours. I really liked this sunscreen. The two pack is handy to have on hand, and will provide quite a few applications. The sunscreen goes on in a very light mist. It felt weightless on my skin, and had a light and clean scent that was not overpowering. I like that it is water resistant for 80 minutes, since I tend to go swimming for an hour at a time. I'm a bit at a loss for how to review this because I don't love spray sunscreens in general, but I did know it was a spray sunscreen when I ordered it. It goes on clear (see photo of hand), and absorbs quickly. For me, this is a once-in-a-while product, not something I would use on myself or my kids regularly. That sad, it certainly works as described to block sun, i like the high SPF, and the fact that it absorbs (as opposed to site on top of the skin, like a mineral sunscreen) means that it isn't as likely to get rubbed off by towels or swimsuits, etc. It's a good value for 2 sunscreens. Major concerns are: - Ingredients: Octocrylene and Homosalate have potential endocrine disruption, skin sensitization, and environmental toxicity issues. Octocrylene is a known environmental contaminant toxic to aquatic life. - Fragrance: The inclusion of undisclosed "fragrance" is a transparency issue -- people put anything and everything under this category because it's a protected 'trade secret' - Spray Format: Pros are that it's super convenient. Two-pack of light, easy-to-apply sunscreen from a respected brand. The spray is very fine and goes on smoothly. There is a little residue left on my skin, but I didn’t find it all that noticeable, and it’s probably to be expected. Can’t guarantee its effectiveness as a sunscreen as it's currently below freezing with 12+ inches of snow on the ground here, but I’m trusting it will do just fine! Read more

This sunscreen is a really good value for a twin pack and it is easy to apply since the mist sprays evenly and covers a large area quickly. It does a solid job protecting the skin from the sun and I like that it is lightweight and not overly greasy when you first spray it on. The problem for me is how it feels once it settles because it leaves a slightly sticky film on the skin that I notice every time I move or touch my arms. It is not heavy but it is enough to make me feel a little uncomfortable especially on hot days when I already feel warm. It does hold up well outdoors and is convenient for reapplication which is a plus, but the texture just was not my favorite even though the value and protection are great. Read more

Happy with the sunscreen in a convenient and easy to use spray bottle for sunscreen. It is a lightweight spray with good protection. It does provide good water resistance as well and also works effectively when sweating or being active, which is what of the main reasons I was interested in this product.
