I have had the same Hoka shoes for literally the past 3 years. I refused to invest in new shoes. My Hokas have held up through the gym, runs on trails, and walks through Walmart. While the upper toe box area is definitely waterproof, there’s a seam near the heel of the shoe where the goretex lining ends and water leaks through.
