Wet decks can be slippery and I'd rather invest in this high quality mat than a broken hip. I'm considering buying a second one for the same walkway after the tree currently protecting it sheds its leaves. As other reviewers have noted, the mat does have a very pungent smell. The cardboard box it came in was itself very smelly. You might want to plan on airing the mat before putting it to use inside. Read more
